Many have left children behind in Korea and lost contact with their families. Discriminated against and traumatised by their experiences, they succumb to depression or suicide. They are free but rootless. Desperately alone with their memories.

As a South Korean, I think the translations are not good enough to deliver what they are actually saying. Sometimes very awkward.
I jusy dont understand how we cant do SOMETHING to help these people. Theyre starving, tortured, brainwashed and more. Watch this, reminded me of the hardship and hunger that i went through during my time in the Khmer Rouge regime and had no way to escape.

Great film. South Korea does a lot for the North Korean refugees. Good job. Props to Thailand too. Watching that lady at the beginning being "interrogated" was mind blowing.

Our government won't stop it. So I'm sure that's all it ever will be. This is why I don't leave America. We have so much here. Why risk it going somewhere else. Truly unfortunate.

The reason the two Koreas cannot unite is the interest conflict among the US, China, Russia and Japan.

This one was a hard watch. But this is the reality of a true dictatorship. And true abuse and inhumane treatment. By the government, your neighbors, the military, and everyone around you is possibly out to get you. That’s a horrible life to live. Plus starving to death… unless you’re elite…And three generations of your family, you will be responsible for one family members mistake. Or if they escape without you….And how they treat you if you get caught!!! How bad that woman was beat… & u will most likely end up executed by pew pew to the head…. Life can be so unfair that there's some people who are deprived of freedom that many takes for granted. People of North Korea are deprived of food just at least so they can survive. I can only wish the people who attempts to escape NK for protection and success on their journey wherever they choose to go
