Vice President Harris will meet Monday with care workers for a roundtable discussion in La Crosse, Wis., following an announcement of national standards for nursing home staffing.
Until now, guidelines for staffing have been open to interpretation, putting quality of life and access to medical treatment for many residents at risk.
The new rules, in contrast, are exact. When fully implemented, residents at care facilities receiving federal funds should get no less than 3.48 hours of care daily.
At least 33 minutes should be from a registered nurse, and at least 2 hours and 27 minutes can come from a nurse aide. Each nursing home is to have to have an RN on staff 24 hours per day.
To meet the new minimums, most locations will need to hire more staff, and nursing home owners have objected to the changes.
The event is scheduled to start at 1:50 p.m. EDT.

The administration speaks out from both ends. Unethical vaccine mandates. "Each nursing home is to have to have an RN on staff 24 hours per day." — Do they even understand that it might mean one (1) registered nurse to several hundred patients?
Tasked with with the title of border czar and this is the best she can come up with

Pretty sad looking. Shows how little they care.
Yet more media coverage then trumps anti human trafficking thing in 2020.
Goodbye LTC industry. Another Camela disaster.
She has NO idea what she is talking about. I began being a nurses aide when I was 15 years old. I worked for the Carmelite Nuns. 11 and a Mother Superior. I was started at $0.90 an hour. This was back in 1966. I learned love and dignity and respect. Respect to these nuns who never made a penny for their tireless care and gave me some of my best training. Then in 1970 I wanted to be a medic in the Army. After I graduated high school 30 days later day after I turned 18 I left to do my Basic Training. On to Ft Sam Houston to do my medical school training. I made 98.00 a month in the Army as an E-1.Graduated as E-2 Medical Specialist. I do believe I got like 14.00 added to my monthly pay.
It doesn't matter how much you make What does matter is how much you love your job and what you bring to anyone because thats what this tireless work is about.
The devil in black 😅
I thought this was an announcement of the care Biden was receiving.

Oh no..run old people..make your lazy kids take care of you
She is a embarrassment to the vice president's office
Wow. The Vice President of the United States. There must be at least 10 or 12 people there. How impressive. So impressive… 😅
The nurse homes are totally neglected too few quality nurses on staff, and the care given is very poor. They move patients in and out of there, a lot of the patients have no where to go, and no family to care for them. It’s a serious situation and needs to be addressed as such now, not later! Look at how many tax paying seniors that paid into the system only to get no help or quality care. It’s outrageous the same goes for all the Americans veterans who have served this country with their lives, they too can’t get the help they deserve. Sick and disabled people and veterans out on the streets because they can’t afford rent! It’s time to wake up people and make a difference now or someday you could be on the receiving end of it! Make your tax dollars count demand congress fix this issue now before it’s to late! 🇺🇸ðŸ™ðŸ’ªðŸ»ðŸ‘
How about schools
