Here's an easy solution: cap asylum applications based on court date availability. If there is no available date this year, you cannot apply. However, as soon as a date this year opens up, you may apply.

Edit: As far as I'm concerned, if the allotment is 1,000,000(?) "legal" immigrants a year, they've used up the next 8-10 years of their quota, over the last 3 1/2 years. We can't save anyone, if we can't save ourselves. That's the way it goes in life for everyone. Family first, then charity if you can. I see too many issues here as it is, to be taking care of the rest of the world. I'm all for saying now, DON'T LET ANYONE IN until we can fix our own issues.

Isn't it entirely disingenuous to constantly blame Republicans and his "predecessor" for not approving an "Immigration" bill that includes only about 20% to solve immigration issues while 80% goes to fund wars around the globe? I'm no genius but domestic immigration and global wars are two completely different issues, aren't they? If he's going to be open and honest shouldn't they be addressed separately?
