Red Sea shipping lanes are open, but not to us, the west and ships going to Israel. Thats the way things go, Asia and Africa are much of the worlds land mass and more and more of them do not like us and our "business" methods. The British fly military planes out of Cyprus from a base in Cyprus which they colonized. Lately they have flown planes from such a base to fight against the Houthis. See Wikipedia article on "Akrotiri and Dhekelia" for more details regarding British military bases on the island of Cyprus. Cyprus is thousands of miles away from Great Britain. What is the British military doing on Cyprus? When will British government officials practice what they preach? When will they abandon their colonial habits? They have the audacity to talk about freedom, democracy or self-determination when they are doing none of these on Cyprus! They have used force to impose their will on the people of Cyprus. Cypriots never consented to British usurpation of their land. Irrespective of whether one agrees or not with what one side or the other is doing in the Red Sea conflict, one can clearly see that British government officials have been hyprocrites in the extreme. Such officials practice colonialism even in spite of demands by the Cypriot government and the United Nations to end it. Hopefully one day soon the world will get rid of colonialism, militarism, oppression of one people by another, selfish aggrandizement of resources, racism and unjust exploitation. Long live peaceful coexistence of all peoples everywhere, understanding, justice, freedom, self-determination and universal brotherhood.
