Lacking knowledge if or what alien tech exist, we can not assume a desire to know justifies disclosure. If our nation has custody of alien tech, world powers would be willing to do anything to get it, including war. If I was in possession of alien tech, I would discuss security with government experts.. My thoughts would be to keep it under wraps and have experts study it, and do everything to protect it from foreign powers.
