16. People, its a whole damn river, not a dam or lake… the resources, funds, wages, skills etc that a small county needs to search such a huge area is ridiculous.
    Everyone has made mistakes, missed something or prioritised more urgent things to others in their job. Police arent perfect nor able to achieve perfect outcomes or be everywhere and conduct constant searches. Most cases are solved by civilians seeing something and reporting it.
    This was a woman who left home of her own accord.
    If your child went missing or a family member shot- would you prefer a small county police dept to spend time searching for a woman who may or may not be in water than spans miles or looking for hard evidence/facts that can bring your child home/justice for a murdered loved one?? They do the best they can with the little they have.
    If you are angry about the lack of resources your local PD has, petition your local politician and county to fund these things. Request the gvt stops putting so much funding into providing arms to other countries or the military expenses etc… dont complain- make the change happen.
    AWP have also proven time and again that even when a place has been thoroughly searched by experts.. there is still a chance that something was missed.
    Lets be grateful that AWP have the dedication, skills, resources and ability to search in lieu of what LE can do and help bring closure to the families and cold cases.

29. The compassion you guys display when talking to the family and law enforcement is really just inspirational. It doesn’t matter how or why someone ended up under water, they are a person with people who love them and they deserved to live — thanks for showing that humanity supersedes judgment. You guys are really doing some amazing work.

30. Doug & Jared are so gentle to the families throughput the process. In these situations it’s hard to know the right thing to say but they always find the words to comfort them.

32. The compassion shown to these families is what keeps me coming back. It’s hard to lose a loved one, harder to not know where they are, and harder still to feel like no one cares or is looking for them. The AWP Crew is amazing, you’re a balm to all that’s difficult in this world.

33. It just goes to show that when it comes to missing person cases they put little effort into actually finding a person. It's almost embarrassing that these people can find missing people after 20 30 years doesn't matter. Jed hall was found in 20 minutes after 4 years. It's honestly embarrassing and it doesn't take much thinking to retrace somebody's steps their state of mind and the area in which they disappeared. It's like what are the police doing that is so important that they couldn't put some man hours into this. Too busy pulling over people for tail lights and busting people for minimal drug possessions. This is why I can't stand police because their job is to protect and protecting would be finding people missing so that we don't think there's murderers about and then if you do go missing God forbid you have a chance of being brought back home to your family. Honestly it's seriously embarrassing for every police department when any of these people have done their job for them in less than an hour.
