Android’s security is BETTER than you think! 🦠🤖

Android’s security is supposed to suck. We’ve heard it plenty of times from plenty of places: Android’s fragmented nature, and phone manufacturers’ laziness when it comes to software updates, means your Android phone is just less secure than an iPhone…. Right? Not so fast.

  1. One thing that wasn't mentioned was "juice jacking" where you supposedly can get infected by plugging into a public USB charging port. Apparently, that was an Apple issue, not Android, as Android devices require you to specifically allow data transfer.

  2. I have 6 Old android phones, and I'm surprised that they are so safe lol 😆 😂 I had a HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S3, S5, S7, S10e, and I have 2 phones Samsung Galaxy note 20 Samsung Galaxy S21 that I use in 2023 😆 and I only had 2 iPhone that means iPhone 5S and my iPhone 6 which I still use for something in my house but I'm not safe for them so I prefer android over ios in my opinion and also this is a viewer from India 🇮🇳 ❤️

  3. This is the video about Android security which makes by far more sense than all the others who scare you about the lack of security patches. Even new Android versions do not get updates or patches outside the US or Europe. It's just the normal that Android get any security update at all. My Android 9 only got one update in 2020 when I took the fone out of the box and then nothing anymore. My other Android 7.1 phones got never an security update or any update whatsoever right new out of the box. But the Play store is allways up to date. Most people in the third world, which are the mayor users of Android, never even update the Android phone even if they could since they only have data via cell fone and not WiFi. But since they visit all kinds of shoddy music webpages these Android phones for example in latin america most likely are full of viruses. Luckily nobody has an credit card or has an bank account so there are no really data to steal but everybody has WhatsApp and Facebook. I bet viruses enter via Zucks Facebook App by clicking shoddy webpage links.
I have only Brave Browser installed and use never the Android Phone for browsing but only for foning, sms and WhatsApp or Session Messenger. TOR Browser would be ideal but that App gives to much errors on webpages so Brave Browser is the best.
If you stick with only a few Apps and do not surf on fone but only use the Browser App for occasional check of an webpage, then Android never will get an virus.
I find Android 7.1 is way more power saving than any later Android. So I stick to the Android 7 fones. I had very good luck in the past as well with Android 6.0. Later Android versions seem to suck lots of battery power. I stick with the Motorola E4 fones (Android 7.1) which are way better than the newer Moto E6 fones with Android 9.
On the Android 9 my phone lasted at most 3 days and with Android 7.1 I have no trouble the phone lasts 6 days. It has to do with Android versions.

  4. Gotta get away from Google. I don't like the new data sucking feature. Some of us absolutely refuse to be tethered at the wallet at all times. I used to enable internet and pay bills but now internet is always draining. 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

  5. Thank you so much! So, my android 9 which I can no longer update is relatively safe. I thought I was at severe risk. I just update a bunch of Google play stuff. I bought it brand new, at Walfart a year ago for 26 bucks! (I know it's ancient) I then bought a HUGE sd card so I can record 4K all day, for about 50 bucks. I AM going to replace it now, but the computer first. I'm building a monster with a 12900K. once again thank you!

  6. Andriod for samsung good but bug because of chinese which is stupid ui system, I know they just released to user but not fix as they think good.China system will be stupid as they want to control system security especially but have conflict. Thanks to Mcafee determine with deep and intelligent mode .

  7. Android security varies by maker. Samsung and Google are generally considered the best. Huawei the worst, and other Chinese manufacturers are in the middle. Apple is definitely not more secure than android no more tho.

  8. I would have liked this video to mention something about kernel exploits. Android devices are almost always running older versions of Linux. Everything that was mentioned helps update the Android layer, but applications always have access to the kernel, and today I'm wholly dependent on the vendor to apply security patches to the source of their kernel. This is a slow and error-prone process.

If a CVE is discovered in the kernel, and my device is no longer updated by the vendor, no amount of Google Play services or Android framework updates is going to fix it. This is the same with vendor firmware.

Android has come a long way, and in the future generic kernel images might change the situation, but serious vulnerabilities can still remain unresolved once the vendor has stopped updating the device.

  9. get a copy of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 ,.,.,., then realize no mass produced cell phone is secure using any OS issued by the big three. The hardware is created with backdoors and call home loops built in YOU can not get away from it. You are tracked real time by five government agencies {one to two from the country of manufacturer} your provider and the manufacturer.

  10. Well that's awesome. I was about to purchase a new phone because my older one's security updates was about to end. Now I can peacefully use it until it's no longer usable. Thank you, you just saved me a lot of money.

  11. Unless your phone is Encrypted. As far as “PRIVACY” Personal info, pictures, Nude pics, once it’s on the iCloud backup leaves a digital footprint. FBI has already proved this with THE CLINTONS SCANDAL. Once exposed to a internet file the footprint is created. So if you don’t like and prefer to reserve your privacy somewhat, you need to completely remove iCloud app from your phone. Even then you are not totally secure! If Apple Went through with the plan to add encryption in iCloud, your iPhone would of been more secure! Sorry because of (THE GOVERNMENT) FBI Apple dropped their plans on Encrypting your iPhone. So “NO” Your phone is not totally secure! You are still very vulnerable and there are more than thousands that know how to hack iPhones that work for agencies if not the US government! So screw your privacy basically! Apple has all your information, for security reasons they claim are the only reason they won’t reveal that to you! If a Android is Encrypted then yes you have a chance in preserving some of your privacy.

  12. The best way is to segregate the updates into 2 camps, Android Updates Android appi, then seperate Google Updates Google App. This way they are kept seperate and more like a clmputer which these devices are. You can do this by Containers 1 Container for Android and 1 for Google.

  13. Pseudo Feminism is the cancer of the society and only promoting women and insulting men is a kind of Pseudo Feminism that everyone should keep in their mind.
