Pay day for Joel!

A guy in Liberia contacted me on Facebook and asked for money. I decided to see if he’d do work for me in exchange for money. I sent him a camera and asked him to take pictures of the living conditions where he lived. Surprisingly, we sold $13,000 worth of photos and now it’s time to give Joel his cut.

  1. Yeah, you gotta be careful with international charities. They are very dodgy.
I mean, if they cant even email you back with simple answers, i say screw em. Like you said, they prolly keep most of it anyway.
A warning to those who donate to charities:
    Do your research.
Otherwise your just enriching some asshole that preys on peoples goodwill.

Also, smart that your slowly giving him the money.
He deserves some of it at least.
Anyway, love how this series turned out.
Not many scambaiters do this kind of thing though i cant blame them given your dealing with scammers.
I think you went above and beyond here.
Though next time maybe do a digital photo album release or shop around for shipping companies cuz intl shipping is ridiculous.

  2. You are amazing. I wish more people believed in the good of a soul. Well done. It must be hard believing in people who let you down but you do it. You deserve a gold star. Much love from Plymouth, England xxxxcxxxxxx

  3. Am I the only one that thinks he is so undeserving and ungrateful, he literally did nothing but take some pics and demand money. Their are people way more deserving.
