Thanks for the info. Very informative.
Hey man don’t know if you’ll see this but I can across the video because I’m getting a sweet smell, my heat is not hot, smoke coming out of my vents and condensation from the windshield vents as well. Would you recommend still doing this if there is a possible leak within the heater core? Because I am unsure if the heater core is clogged or if there is a leak within it. Got quoted 1600 to replace the heater core and was going to try this before I go ahead and do this and spend the 1600 for a brand new system.
I have water leaking into my cabin and carpet would this fix the leak? I’m pretty sure it’s the heater core
If passenger side vents are blowing hot air and drivers side are blowing cold could that be a clogged heater core or actuator
Can we flush and without replacing 50-50 but flush entire coolant and replace new ?
Hey well my car is burning coolant but I’ve change the oil and anti freeze isn’t in the oil so my only thought is the heater core I’ve already replaced all the cooling system except for the heater core so I wonder if I flush it would it solve my problem or should I just replace the whole heater core
Thanks for sharing cris i have 1990 Ford F150 4.9L got broke down my heater so i think is a heater core problem 😊
You are the best!
And you help us with these video.
What happens if you accidendly mix up the hoses when reconecting them and also after a core flush can it cause the car to run rough
Why didn’t you show the temp of the car when you stayed like you did at the end
don't buy a Volkswagen or German car
Always great advice Chris really appreciate your videos wish I still had my dodge ram this was one of it's problems. Besides rust problems thanks again keep on keeping on Chris!!!
Hey man. Great videos. You inspired me to do this to my Ram. Keep it up.
One word of caution. Try to be as gentle as possible when removing and reinstalling the hoses. Even brand new, heater cores are real fragile. And they can be a blazing nightmare to replace.
Okay I've replaced water pump and flushed the core and I still don't have hot hot heat if that makes sense. My temp gauge reads normal so I don't think the thermostat is bad. Any ideas
I try this on a Chevy Express van 2008 my water pump was bad and I replaced it and I want to try to flush my heater core and I ran the heat it was way better
how do I know what size my heater hoses are
Just performed on my 2008 Durango flex Fuel, had to hold the hose high up as the inlet and outlet are facing down. Let gravity do most of the work. Very straight forward and now have rear heat again
would it be better to add some rad flush let it sit for a while, then flush it out with water?
Chris quick question, I have a Mazda cx7 2008 and recently the windshield has a lot of condensation on it and the smell of antifreeze inside the car. Is this a heater core replacement issue or a possible leak? Thanks
Hi Chris! I tried to follow these steps but am struggling removing my hose. It’s stuck on there. Do you think it’s a bad idea to pour some hot water over the hose to maybe help loosen it up then try to use a pick?
My Citroen C5 2001 have oil there? WHY?
Use distilled water not hose water.
Hey boss would this work on a 2008 Nissan Rouge ?
This is genius and a DIY. Thanks for the video but can you let me know the dimension for the hose please.
Could this be the reason why my heater has a fishy smell and has that dark fluid in the glove compartment ?
Looks like should have had the radiator flush also.
A good video. Easy to understand.
will you always add the coolant at the end with any car? need to do my volkswagen!
Will this fix my heater core pipe from popping off from too much pressure(?) as it does now?
Thanks great video with clear instructions
Followed this and now I've got heat! Thanks for the the video!
How do i keep pressure below 10psi
