To those more informed about law: if I was a cop and, in this situation, wrote up an investigation into vandalism what might happen? Did I do good? Bad? Other?
I think the tenants are confused what civil means.
Yhete should of never been a dispute ever no warrant no entry no trespassing period an arrest warrant is not a warrant to enter private property or home espeacially to search.once told no they should leave period. If they really want to catch the person sit down the street period and wait or apply for a warrant to enter the property and home.
This is a great cop.
Not enough of these guys out there.
Now, I know that the Renter / Complaintent is a horrible piece of shit.
Many officers would have escalated this. This officer though did his job perfectly.
He attempted the entire time to de escalate, he never let his ego take over. He never abused his power. This is a great cop. This is the behavior we should expect from our police.
A "C-" is a bit generous here. The tenants called the police for a civil matter after the contractor had offered a very reasonable solution to the issue. Both were rude to the officer while he was being very polite and explaining the issue beyond what he was required to do. The husband was insulting and aggressive towards the officer for no reason and even assaulted the contractor right in front of him. Had this been one of the jerk cops this channel usually covers, he would have taken the provocation and arrested the husband for assault. At best, this was a "D-" on the tenant's part and was only prevented from being an "F" by the wife physically restraining her husband from assaulting the officer.
Why on earth did the call handler not say "Civil matter, have a good day." ?
That tenant could be part of a jury one day. Let that sink in for a minute.
for the police officer – if he really didn't know – to accept payment for a service that cannot or should not be provided is fraud, a criminal offense – or that Piggy is just too lazy to file a criminal complaint because one white person and two black people
Really tenants get a “C-“??? Hahahah screw that guy. What a joke
Why is a cop even there? Do you really think getting legal advice from the police is a good idea?
What a jerk renter 😮😊
the pigs need to tell callers “we dont respond to civil mattersâ€
I'm no fan of the police but this cop did nothing wrong, the guy with the white t-shirt was an a-hole.
He wants help but he won’t shut up long enough and listen to what the officer is telling him. I swear I got so irritated listening to this officer try to explain what they’d need to do in order to have a case against the company, keep getting interrupted by this dude repeating himself.
I don't care so much about the "legalese" in this situation. This man had been seriously butt-hurt and felt helpless. Men have a problem with helpless. He was vomiting his frustration out and should have been understood. The cop's feelings over being fussed at are nothing compared to the circumstances this man is facing for his family. EMPATHY.
The man acted like an idiot the whole time the cop was trying to talk to him
My hat off to the professionalism from the cop it’s a breath of fresh air.
Not everyone is a google lawyer, they called for help she didn’t know which is why she called. Idk why he gave her an attitude about that
At least one if not both of those tenants was prob drunk
What about damadge to private property thats definatly an arestable offence.
Why would dispatch even allow the officer to go to the house when it was clearly a civil matter?
Anyways, I wouldn't give the officer an A since he knew it was a civil matter but did nothing to even remotely help the owners.
All that he had to do was walk in the house and inspect the extent of the water damage using his body camera, which would have been a very good record/evidence for insurance since they tend to take the word of officers more than that of the claimants. After that, he could have left his card and told them that after they submit their insurance claim to tell the insurance company to call the officer and he will be a witness to the damage.
I know from experience that when you are the victim of fraud/scam that insurance companies, banks, or other agencies will not be very cooperative without a police detective advocating on your behalf. In many cases, you need an official police report to process claims anyways, and in this case a police officer only inspecting the exterior of the house would be meaningless.
I don't even know why the officer would show up to the property if he knew it was a civil case and wasn't planning on helping them get the necessary resources to get through this civil matter. He clearly is a cop but does not want to serve as a civil servant to his community.
Are these people really that stupid? The police officer was incredibly patient.
What do cops do that:
1) protects regular people
2) serves the regular people
3) does anything beneficial for regular people?
If you change regular people for elite people, it makes sense
At 8:48 – "your owner" – something about that feels wrong. Lol
C- !? That was an F, bro. A complete waste of gas for the cop to have even shown up to speak to those two clowns.
Ask them about how a child can be charged with child p0rn if a pedo tricks them into sending a picture. Columbus is messed up
Guns don’t need to be registered, even in Ohio. And now you don’t even need a ccw. It’s fantastic.
The fact that the officer didn't bring it the issue that the tenant seemed drunk or something is a credit to him really doing his best to work with them.
*The male tenant had slurred speech, couldn't focus even on his own words, and poor balance. Also, he started to snitch on the contractor until he realized it may incriminate himself. 😂
Thats the way cops should engage.people. 5 atars to that officer. He did not take what people said.under duress personally. He just let them vent.
They get a cminus? Fucking waste of my tax dollars
typical classy American family…YIKES !
Columbus PD seems to have many great officers.
This officer is too legit to quit
What a couple low lives.
Cop did a great job. Was totally respectful despite the nonsense he had in front of him.
The tenant sounds like he wanted Feelings Enforcement, not Law Enforcement.
Snitch 🤦ðŸ½â€â™‚ï¸
I appreciate all your videos. You gotta give credit where it’s due to show there’s plenty of good people in law enforcement. I don’t think this guy would be hurt if we can end qualified immunity.
that might be the dumbest human on the planet
Damn. Dude is a str8 rat. Smh. He got a gun that aint registered. 😮😮😮
