3. Yo guys what’s up! The best tips always arrive latest.
   Don’t you ever, forget snowchains, a diesel generator to put in your pickup bed, so you can still have electricity, some kind of bed solution like a small air mattress, or foam mattress from an extra bed, with correct and nice bed clothes. If your truck can fit it, especially on let’s say a VW Amarok, with the bed doghouse as we call it, which makes it look like the demon love job between a GIANT wagon, and a pickup, have an extra bed in your covered truck bed, with a carpenters heat fan.
   My dad’s a carpenter so I know that trick, and the stuff for the truck is because my bonus dad’s a hunter!

6. I would like to add : Always carry snow chains with you in case your car stucks or slips somewhere

8. I keep all of that in my car, plus a tire pump, tire gauge, extra winter washer fluid, hand warmers and a few other goodies 😊

9. Alaskan gal here, all good information, but experience has taught me , I drive a 2000 Tundra 4×4 . Can of Crisco: non aerosol ( important they can be
   A hazard in a car) run on door seals and dab a bit over the door lock to keep from freezing.also one could stick a wick in the Can and make a candle.

   Old bath towels, even with studded tires , running over fresh snow when parked especially are of no use, I’ve stuck towels under the wheels and it has given me enough traction to get out.

   I keep a plastic snow shovel , slather in in Crisco. No sticking snow.

   And finally, I have a twenty year unopened jar of TANG,( you know, the orange drink? Do they even still make the stuff?), anyway , if you happen to slide off the road , many times no one even knows . If your driving remote.. yikes!
   The universal symbol for help is an orange triangle. Find a clearing, shake the “Tang” into the snow in that shape( big enough they can see from a plane)!
   Also, it has electrolytes and sugar, make a slushy with it.

   Oh geez, there’s so much to extreme winter conditions,
   So much is common sense and being prepared for anything.

11. make sure the carpet/carpet trays do not hold water… els this water will evaporate during driving (with the heat and AC on) … then when parking in the winter the air moisture will result in frost on the inside on of front window… such frost is hard to remove of the inside on a curved window and it will take a long time for the engine to heat up for the wind-screen ventilation to remove the frost. NB… the heating in the ventilation realy first start once the car is driving.

    I once saw on a single day, the aftermath of 6 single vehicle spinouts, 5 of which were SUVs.

13. Pretty good tutorial, I live in Florida,so we just wash the frost off with a hose.

14. I also like to keep a couple packs of hand warmers, an extra beanie, an extra neck gaiter or scarf or balaclava, a warm blanket or sleeping bag, tire chains, tire inflator, and a 2 way radio.

22. It’s a good idea sometimes not to think what you would need but what you’d recommend to others. It’s a strange fact that a lot of people know how to do right but choose bot to stick to the rules when it’s up to them. So it may be helpful to ask yourself ‘what should people carry with them/ do when it’s winter?’ and compare the answer to your situation. 99% you’ll find there’s a difference…

30. I live in northern Alberta, Canada. Best tips I have are; drive slow and use studded winter tires.
    Depending on where you live, studded tires may not be the right choice for you; keep in mind that in icy conditions non-studded winter tires are still far better than all season tires.

31. @2:48. In another video Chris fix said to never use your brush on your car because it will scratch the paint and that you should wrap a soft cloth around it first

32. in my city. we had a just normal day but then during afternoon we got a big snow storm came and everyone was really surprised on how much snow we got.

35. Another benefit to filling up before the storm is the fact that the storm could damage the fuel station and cause water intrusion and that would be bad if you need to fill up while it's still broken

41. get a pack of mres the heating element doubles as a hand warmer after cooking a warm meal.
