Learn how to change a fuel pressure regulator on 350ci LT1 or LT4 engine. Replacing the fuel pressure regulator (fpr) is a similar process for almost all cars and this video is a great reference!
Here is the fuel pressure regulator I used (good price too):

i learned from your vlog that a vacuum leak leads to high fuel pressure, so if i check my spark plugs and they are clean, it means it doesnt run rich, which means fuel pressure not high which means no vacuum leak?
this video makes me realize how much chris grew over the years. he’s improved a lot. and i say that because i didnt understand shit in this video 🤣
Chris, You are still helping us out with this video you did 10 years ago. These things develop odd leaks. Mine was leaking maybe 3 times over 3 months. I would smell fuel in the car for maybe 5 minutes and then go away. I thought it was a plugged vent line. Just checked the Fuel Pressure Regulator before checking the vent lines. Started the engine no leak. Pulled the vacuum line and it leaked bad on the non-vacuum side of the diaphragm. Thank you Chris.
Dude
This morning I started mine up and for a split second I realized it wasn’t the same amount of cranks and it was really boggy… Drove it down the street, drove it back and parked it in the driveway. 20 minutes later I go to start it up and it’s just cranking now… No start, I was thinking maybe bad injectors but this looks easy enough to swap out…
My question is, why/how did you know it needed to be changed? What were the symptoms? Mine has been running great, so much that the last time I drove it I pushed the hell out of it on an empty freeway and it did great…
This was 11yrs….can I make a request for an update?!? Now that you create much higher quality videos?!? ðŸ™ðŸ»ðŸ™ðŸ»ðŸ™ðŸ»ðŸ™ðŸ»
Thank you for showing me that there's an o-ring on the fuel line -to-regulator. I've had a leak on mine for a while👊â¤ðŸ˜Š
Appreciate it..don't like working on fuel system parts but you made it look simple..thanks
Seriously? 1st mistake, negative line can drop down & hit some metal causing spark, unless you attach it to a plastic hanger & hang it somewhere it can not spark. If ur worried about getting electrocuted, disconnect the positive line from the battery. That drops down & hits metal, there's no worry of an accidental spark.
This is what started everything and where a legend began
First
Thank you so much for this video. It was exactly what was wrong with my son's Corvette. It's fixed now and running like new thank you again I love your videos
A WHOLE DECADE!!!!!!REVISIT PLEASE
Would a fuel damper cause high pressure
This is the actual first Chris fix video
why does a fuel pressure regulator leak in cold weather?
What T wrench sizes are used to hold fuel lines and fuel pressure regulator????? Most from that era are upside down and have much harder access, and it's easy to see how hard they are to break lose. Once rounded out then views are going to have real problems. Always show tool sizes. Everyone knows the battery bolt size.
Love your vids mate but just a super hint: get a go Pro and belt it to your head, or forehead while recording.
I'm a long time viewer and it is hard to watch sometimes when you struggle to do something with one hand.
How tf is 30 degrees cold wtf and where do you live that it's 50 degrees r u in a desert?
Little did chrisfix know that he would help millions of people down the road
Who is here in 2022
2021 HHHEEEEYYYYYY!!!!! GUUUUYYYYYSSSSS !!!!!! CHRIs fIx HEre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn this is the video that started it all 😲
Why did you blur out the part info when you said who it is from?
There was no excitement like the other videos ?
He had the perfect speaking skill 9 years before also
I wonder if silicone would be okay on the o-rings, or would that run the risk of clogging the fuel system? I'd rather use silicone, because it's rubber safe and is made for o-rings.
Anyone in 2021?
