Also, keep an eye out on my channel this Sunday for a special video I am working on (hopefully I get it out on time)!!!
Thank you a million…. finally got my car to stop screeching …I learned so much from my past mistakes from this video, would've prepared me for all of them.
Brake sounds like a creaking sofa made of springs, if you are bobbing up and down on it? Any idea why? Someone once said brake pads were not bed in correctly?
Thank you so much for putting all these videos out there. I have learned so much from you and had the confidence to fix things for myself that I never would have tackled a few years ago.
Great video, my MDX front breaks makes pulsing sound when press breaks on turning WHEN PRESSING BREAKS LIGHTLY. Any tip will be helpful.
Hey Chris, great channel… question: I upgraded my brakes with vented / slotted rotors now the rear right is making a knocking noise on my 2008 Lexus is250 AWD. I been told that the pads are locked and not releasing? appreciate your opinion
Bro I'm 21 with an old 2002 hyundai nobody knows about he helped me fix my speaking problems just by watching his videos never doubt Chrisfix
Ah. I'm just going to keep driving on dirty roads constantly and replace my rotors every couple years apparently. Great video. Now I am so many others know exactly what went wrong.
I swear this man tears his cars up so he can make videos â™¥ï¸ ðŸ˜‚
I replaced front brakes ,I bought them at the dealer. I installed new calipers and I bought new discs. I noticed they have different price discs that range anywhere between $35 to $150 so I bought the $35 ones. Everything works perfect except now when I come to a stop and slowly release the brake I can hear metal to metal grinding sound but then goes away after I fully release the brake pedal. Do you think this could be due to low quality disc ? Why are some expensive and others cost less?

that rotor looks insane i can imagine the noise that rotor was making lol
Hey Chris, great video. What is the clunking noise when braking slowly?
I understand why you have 10M subscribers
Thank you Chris! This video helped me a lot and, the most important, saved me a ton of money. I watched your video about the car polishing. It is amazing. It also saved me a ton of money. Keep up the good work and ofc, your privacy!!!
Hello Chris, Thanks for sharing the video. I have learned a lot. My Rav4 made noise when hit the brake in reverse, going forward no noise. the rear rotors and pads were replaced half an year ago. Could you please tell me how to figure out where the noise is from? front or rear? Thanks again. !
Daaamm, your content is top quality, just subed after several vids, thanks a lot and keep up the great work.
Lol, i just did my brakes, and there was zero pad. The backing plate is literally gouged into the rotors
How high do you lift the jackstands to get underneath?
Great info as always! Love the example of graphite vs copper. Would you say the same about this ceramic stuff ? Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant. Just for the hardware metal to metal of course. Pads etc… the pins get silicon and the hub gets anti seize. So three cans one for a specific task… thx
Why do you call the brake disc “brake rotorâ€
Hi Chris my wife has a 2022 acura rdx and the rakes make noise in the morning when she backs out of the driveway.I went to the dealer and they said they didn't hear the noise , I would have to leave it overnight for them to check it . I think it's the type of brake pads they use, ehat do you think it could be. The rest of the day it's fine no noise.
I replaced my brakes myself, new brake pads and rotors. They only squeal at the first stop or so after turning on the car and then it goes away. Is that normal?
My squeaking noise is going while I am driving and it’s getting louder
If only we could trust our mechanics ,..😅
Is it necessary to take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir on this vehicle
I put new rotors pads and calipers on my truck and it makes an awful grinding noise since then. It’s been a month and my right cv axle leaks a bit but it seems to come from both sides. Anyone have any idea why?
My brakes don't make any noise or vibrate while driving or applying them. BUT once stopped, I hear like a grunting noise as if the front of the car is reacting to stopping completely.
Hi Chris, my brakes have been squeeling non stop recently and my brake pads were replaced about a year ago so I brought them in under warranty and they replaced the pads, didn’t work, then they added an anti squeak and cleaned the rotors and pads, didn’t work, and then they said I have to replace my front brake calipers, didn’t work which I paid $1000 for.
Asking for some advice
I think the new bracket that hold my pads is rubbing on my rotor. 😅😅
The 3M paste can no longer be found anywhere. What's a good alternative? Pretty sure most brake part lubricants are still petrol based …
My dad has been complaining the brakes on his truck make noise similar to this since he took it to the shop.
Time to follow these steps and see if we can fix the problem.
You rock Chris.
I've got a 2015 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L and the front passenger side makes clunking sounds on even slight bumps and a wobble/clunking sound when I press on the brakes coming from that tire
Thank you chrisfix! For saving me at least $500-$800!
I had to replace the brake calipers and after that my car started making very annoying squeaky noise. Pads and rotors were very new. So i was confused.
Watched a lot of videos no solution until i watched this video and learned that i have to use lubricant on metal to metal points etc.
No more squeaks, I’m very happy! Thanks again!
I recently got a brake job on my 86 Silverado. Now when I drive down the road I get a constant chirp/whistle, it tones down a bit when I press the brakes or at higher speeds. I am going to take her in but maybe you can offer some advice and what it could be
