Of all of the rental cars companies, Hertz seemed to be the best at getting cigarette smoke out of the cars.
As a fleet manager, I had to take possession of one of our lease cars from a chain smoker. I liked to clean out vehicles before sending them to Manheim. I had to admit that the odor was overwhelming and I had to have it professionally cleaned instead.

What's the big deal? Put on rubber gloves, throw out the trash, shampoo the carpets and upholstery, and drive it. I've bought and cleaned up far worse. I once bought a car and found a gun in the trunk.

Disgusting..a few years ago, the police found two women dead in their home. There was a car in the driveway, filled to the top with trash and garbage.
