The tool kit is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, then all I have to do is fresh fluids, install the exhaust and bumper, and SEND it. Place your bets WHO Finishes First 👇, and ONLY click here if you're betting AGAINST Rich 👉https://bit.ly/3Aj4FDs
V-tuned will finish first, not the Mustang but your Ferrari. He just waiting for the new radiator
Damn where's the link for the bushing Pusher kit
Two pieces of wood and a c-clamp puts new bushing back in place
Holy s*** sam is actually working on his own car
Sam that's a mallet not a hammer
One thing I have learned from your videos Italian cars are good looking expensive pile of junk.
Not a bad price. I would have charged you 12g.
I hope you changed your oil to get rid of the stop leak!
Listen to 15:40 – 16:00 and tell me if I'm the only person giggling like a teenager in Health class… Then follow that up with 16:06…
Are those horse stalls?
So, was the last installment on this project December 2020? I just found your channel and started on this Ferrari series, and after the last one in December 2020, I had to scroll past a bunch of other stuff and this is the first one I came to that seemed to be the NEXT installment! Correct? If so, why did this project sit on hold for 7 months?
been doing bread, grease, got that 1st pilot bearing puller, got the slide hammer pilot bearing puller, nothing! Now i'm onto rotary burrs, praying i don't ruin the crank. never been more jealous of a pilot bearing being pulled!
You’re gonna love that bearing press Sam.
well I guess Tavarish won with the Mclaren 675 LT
I know I'm late, but Tooltopia is right in Lakeland Florida. They have a bunch of affordable name brand tools that would get to you in about a day since you're in Tampa. 💪
Gonna say this actually doesn’t look too bad, and seems a lot better than many Audis.
400 500 miles before another major failure? OMG that’s terrible ! Is that really how it is or are you exaggerating? How many miles do you think you will get out of that new rear main seal?
You're really not supposed to grease bushings when pressig them in.
The moral of this video, to my mind, is this: if I don't have the money for a new Ferrari, I have no business toying around with a used one ! Just picture, for a moment, the size of the hole that this repair would leave in the pocket of a fella with no mechanical repair skills !
Great project, all in all, and I respect you for it !!
When resurfacing a flywheel leave out some metal. You don't go for a total flat surface and some scoring marks remain. This increases the life by 25%
Maybe you should try brain surgery? I'm betting the outcome would be similar…
I like your uninterruptible chatter very much, Sam!
Dudes literally repairing his ferrari in a stable…
can you repair the Nissan figro and make it left hand drive
Hey have you worked on on an audi s8 d4?
Drift a new roller bearing in with a socket the same size as the outer race. The way you were doing it was crazy
Use safety specs when drilling. A hardened drill can break and splinter and take your eye out. Be safe not sorry.
Anybody else so that minute 10:52 I'm worried
New this channel BTW so far so good
Alex, legitstreetcars has a kit for bushings
Next time cool the bushing with dry ice. Use a glove and slip it right in.
Does anyone actually drives this Ferrari cars ? Most videos I see on the internet is about repairing them
Need to tighten up the nut on the long screw thread, use a "work through socket." Forget the brake pad crap, use a large socket to push…or use a reverse puller.
Hope you cleaned and degreased that flywheel face before fitting the clutch plate….
8000$ isn't that much for replacing a clutch on a FERRARI. Remember you're probably paying 1000$ for the job and 7000$ for the NAME Ferrari.😉
$60 to make a tool that didn't even work, plus how many hours spent trying that makes the $300 tool well worth it to have the job done fast. Time is money. I've learned as a shop mechanic that spending the money for the right tool outweighs all the hours of grief trying to do it without the tool, just so I could say I saved a few bucks.. get it done right
Dont put the bearings in like that, its bad for them. Freeze the bearings , then heat the slot that they go into, they will click in place without any hammering or pressure.
Freeze them in a normal food freezer for 24 hours, and heat the slot with a heat gun (not direct heat/flame from a torch) for 3-4 minutes on medium-high heat
Best regards 🙂
I believe the Ferrari from hell contains salvaged parts from james deans Porsche spyder that crashed a few years ago up north.
Ball joint press under $100 and you would have had the bushing in in no time.
Did you put the bushing in the correct position?
geesh..sell it
Asscrack
Instead of beating the wrench with a hammer, take the handle from your jack and put it over the wrench, then you'll have a couple feet of leverage on the wrench. Super easy and no beating required.
You're an idiot you bought brake pads I thought those were like some used brake pads that you guys were using
Bit done yet? 😂
V tune 💯💪ðŸ¾ðŸ¤ŸðŸ¾
Ratcheting box wrench on the nut. No need to cut the threaded rod.
And… no need to use a cut up brake pad, just use a piece of steel plate.
