South Pasadena, California  South Pasadena police released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that killed actress Vanessa Marquez in August 2018. Two police officers acted in “lawful self-defense” in the fatal shooting of former ER actress Vanessa Marquez, who was shot and killed in her home in South Pasadena, California, in 2018, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has ruled.
On August 30, 2018, SPPD officers responded to an apartment located on Fremont Avenue, in the City of South Pasadena, to conduct a welfare check on Vanessa Marquez. Marquez lived in an upstairs apartment in the complex. During the contact, Marquez brandished a black BB handgun and a fatal officer involved shooting occurred.

Her acting really went downhill, awful seizure bit.
The city ended up paying her family half a million dollars to settle the wrongful death lawsuit. Half a million dollars of California taxpayer money towards this "wrongful death" instead of the deteriorating California infrastructure.
your there to help , do you need to shoot 10 times to render her a no threat
Police shot a person that wasn’t black 😳 I’m confused
Bruh honestly fuck her family dude wish they arrested them too
"That's sad who did this called on her
For what so what how her house looook?ðŸ˜â€Ã°Å¸â„¢ÂðŸÂ½ðŸ§Â😤🤬
Is this real
🥺😢
The room scared the __ out of me, damn, even in Resident Evil interiors are not that scary, everything is so weird and off… How people can live like that ant no one asked for help? Why? How? I don't understand… And of course, when you want to point a gun to people's faces – it is somehow police's fault. Thank you, cnn…
Unfortunately she gave the Police no choice. May she RIP.
A few minutes later… More than 15
More like they scared her into a seizure.
Wow
Plot twist:
What you just watched is a clip from her latest role. It's going to premier on Netflix and HBO around Xmas time.
She committed suicide she wanted to die
damn.. beanbag rounds would have stopped her and giving a better chance of not killing her.
Police shouldnt be wasting their time with calls like this.
Her family want's more money in order to get that, they plan putting a gun in her purse and they already knew that she has a seizure, and they called the cops and boom, there plan was very success full, they can have her money now.
I hope her family is very ashamed to what they have done.
The cops can tased her before she get's the gun and point at them.
They killed her for hoarding?
How the fuck did the family win this lawsuit? Is the city stupid or what?!??! Holy shit bet everyone hates her family now and lost all respect for them.
Sad but cops had no choice .
Even with mental health pros with them it can turn out bad .
That apartment is rathole
Crazy person trying to scam everyone.
Put solo a eso llegaron a matar ala mujer que nada le estaba asiendo a nadie
God, this is sad.
Throw some sleeping gas and call it a GGs
This is why we have background checks.
Large home and looks perfectly clean. Apparently, Vanessa did own her own home on Freemont for 15 years. Her room is a hoarders paradise. Vanessa was looking for an exit and she found one. This is tragic on so many levels.
Estos son los buenos y más grandes policÃÂas. Bravo por esos oficiales que si saben aser un buen trabajo
Wow they sent a social worker and look what the outcome still was…
I only came for the comments, I honestly couldn’t watch this..
Why don't they ever shoot at arms or legs to disable the armed civilians..why do they have to fatally shoot several times as if it's a hulk or smth?
So a celebrity gets the de-escalation treatment no questions asked even when producing a gun and being professionally assessed as mentally unstable, but the average citizen gets the death sentence no questions asked if they even have something resembling a weapon. Got it.
Yeah fucking right that’s an actress
Dude this channel is giving me PTSD
U can be a dangerous criminal on probation 100 times and nobody will bother you, this poor woman just wanted to be let alone, it was her home, her choice, she hurt nobody and she lost her life , criminals have more rights and get more breaks than she ever did, RIP Vanessa
COMO NADIE LA AYUDA…NO TIENE AMIGOS,FAMILIA…
I think it’s pretty obvious that she wanted that to happen. It was a fake gun (unbeknownst to the cops) and she had AMPLE opportunity to stop. They even backed out to give her space and chances to drop the gun. She even yelled “kill meâ€Â, so…Idk what else you could think was happening. 🤷â€Â♀︠No one should’ve been able to sue, no one should’ve gotten in trouble. As sad as it is, she most definitely asked for it. Literally and figuratively.
This is how you act a police officer well done
SUICIDE by Cop……………………………………………..
Drugs are one of the leading cause to severe mental illness she didn't want to get better she knew she would only get worse she hit rock bottom and didn't want to be in a hospital or be labeled in a negative way because she was a TV star she just wanted to die so don't feel sad for her she's in a better place she intentionally did that to die she told them to kill her!
American cops perform 'welfare check'. Person ends up dead. Hmm
The hell is doing an assault weapon there?
Her family wanted her dead so they called the police to do it for them.
Fixing stupid with lead therapy ðŸ˜Â😂😅🤣😅🤣😂😅
Bro why is it that when anybody gets shot in their home by police it always looks like shit
