On July 26, 2019, around 9:40 p.m., LAPD, uniformed Gang Enforcement Detail officers, assigned to 77th Division were conducting extra patrol in the vicinity of 47th Street and Budlong Avenue for gang suppression in the Vermont Square Park. As the officers were conducting a footbeat through the park, they saw a male suspect (later identified as 39-year old, Jarron Edmond) run from their location, and appeared to be armed. The officers ran after Edmond and followed him into the courtyard of an apartment building, located on the 4700 block of S. Budlong Avenue. Edmond then produced a handgun and an Officer-Involved- Shooting occurred. Edmond was struck and was taken into custody without further incident.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Edmond to a local hospital where he received further medical treatment and was listed in stable condition. A .38 caliber handgun was located next to Edmond and recovered as evidence. Fortunately, no officers or innocent bystanders were injured during this incident. LAPD’s specialized Force Investigation Division (FID) responded to the scene and began interviewing witnesses and collecting forensic evidence. A representative from the Office of the Inspector General responded and monitored the scene investigation.

  1. I'm sorry but American cops shouldn't be able to use their guns like that. In Australia, police would still be using their hands or their baton if someone was running with a gun.

  2. I’m sorry did he shoot the gun hand???? I know he’ll say he was aiming for that, I mean I would too, but damn that’s a lucky shot

  3. I bet there was like 10+ more people wit guns there too😂😂 yk how them block partys be😈

  4. CNN: Black man hunted down and shot multiple time by police while trying to return a gun he found on his way home from Bible study.

  5. Anyone who runs, is a VC….. anyone who stays still, is a well disciplined VC.
He's got to be in the first category. 🤪😉
"I don't have a gun…….. as he ends up on the floor with a gun behind him for all to see. What a twat he is…

  6. God bless our officers! God keep them SAFE and KEEP them on our streets keeping GOOD people safe!
    Good job officers!

  7. I don't have nothing means I do not have nothing which means he has something. The unintended use of a double negative seems very common with a lot of the bad guys.

  8. Poor thug got his shooting hand shot.. Guess he thought if the gun was beside him it wasn't his. Learned a well deserved painful lesson

  9. Clearly see the gun in his hand if you slow the vid down some. Jarron must have been running home to check on the cookies he left in the oven earlier that evening.

  10. Black Man here, hmm, "get on the ground or I'll shoot you is different from run and I'll try to catch you, but what do I know, I only graduated High School:)

  11. "I dont have nothing" Gun sitting next to him. Love how the crowd just automatically assumes the Cops are the bad guy. They will probably all goto court like Michael Brown and claim they witnessed everything.

  12. Cops didn’t care that he’s shot. When u shoot someone u don’t just act like it’s something normal Bc it’s not

  13. 0:51
    “Ya’ll put the knee.”

It should be: “That wasn’t me.”

  14. Honesty, you probably have a higher chance of winning the lottery than a random gun dropping out of the sky right next to you after just running from police.

  15. I pray that God will continue to protect and bless the police forces who live to defend and protect the good citizens.
A good Scum is dead Scum. FACT.
I stand for the police forces,
God bless you all. AMEN 🙏

  16. That's about as lucky as you can get when you're shot. Popped the 38 right out of his hand. The officer was running and shot him with zero setup time. Perp could easily have taken one right to the chest and gone night-night forever.

  17. whers the east los angeles boyle height videos one where cop shot 14 year old and the other one where cop get shot nov 2019

  18. usa cops are you stupid they could knoc someone but instead of that they shoot the suspect and if you shoot someone 16 times the suspect cant fucking get on the ground stupid ass hoes
every cop in america should be executed
