It never fails to amaze me when arrestees waive their constitutional rights.
“Hey, you are in handcuffs. You are under arrest. Oh, do you want a free lawyer?”
Why would you ever say no to that? Do you not like being out of jail?
“Anything you say can and will be used against you. But you don’t have to say anything.”
Why would you talk? It’s not like they are saying, “If you are guilty, anything you say will be used against you.”
It’s anything. You ARE a suspect, and if you think you are going to convince law enforcement to change their mind in a custodial interview, you could hardly be more wrong.
Among the many mysteries of life…
Anyway, about this: Few people have seen a real custodial interview for a crime that wasn’t making headlines. I have been wanting to share an example or two for a while now but most were categorically inappropriate for the channel. Fortunately, after what felt like a lifetime of blurring, this one made the cut. Let’s do it!

This woman gives so much extra information. "I just got this car because my last one was out of commission", as if he really cares.
When will people learn🙄.. talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk.. STOP TALKING FFS..
Dont waste your time!
The only thing(s) even remotely endearing about this woman are her sweater puppies.
She’s talking to these cops like she’s talking to one of her girlfriend
“I’m a single mother with 4 kids.†She keeps using that for pity.
Such a control freak this is amazing
I thought custodial meant they were already in custody…she's wearing normal clothes
I guess under arrest is in custody
They tell you right in the Miranda rights: anything you say can AND WILL be used against you! Every word out of your mouth will be used against you, not to clear you.
Never ever Waive your rights Girl… wrong… don't tell everyone your life story that's what your lawyer is for Stop Talking 🤯can you say I Set Myself Up For A Fall….
"I cannot read upside down" jesus christ what a start
"Thank you for clearing that up, ok?" No…thank you for formally making a statement where we now have probable cause and a confession for a conviction. HA….that is why he's thanking her.
This lady is super sweet and very honest. The interrogator is butthurt because he just wants to win and he can't. He is looked upon by his superiors and he sucks as an investigator. He needs to get a job as a Mall security guard.
Let this lady go and go lock up her ex
He pulled a gun on her and she’s dating him?
All this over nothing. Give me break.
11:10 "How long has this restraining order been in place?" … goes on to talk about something completely different. I do not envy this guy's job.
damn! they are huge!
Bye bye pocho
If you have a restraining order against someone, you should have no contact with them!
Pretty handcuffed woman!
"Yeah, but then he… " And no shortage of unsubstantiated slander and accusations. I hope he gets full custody and she pays child support.
"Sure, I'll waive my rights. You're my friend, right?"
She should be jailed for being stupid.
I don't know if this video is from Canada, but it works a little different in the United States. I feel like most people waive their rights because they think they'll be able to talk their way out of going to jail. In America, your court appointed attorney doesn't come to see you for a couple days after you've been arrested (sometimes a couple weeks or up to a month). People don't want to sit in jail overnight or until their attorney comes, so they think they'll be able to convince the cops they did nothing wrong and be released. There are also times where the court will refuse to give you a court appointed attorney if you bail out of jail. They look at it like if you have enough money to bail out of jail then you have enough money to pay for a lawyer.
Thats why I got a VASECTOMY it cost $3850 better than 18 to 21 years of HELL and or Exsupport payments
Whatever you do, don't commit a felony.
OMG honey shut up!! The cops are not your friends or your counselor!! I cringed during entire video, she's so stupid 🤯
