On June 14, 2022, the Brookhaven Police Department responded to a disturbance call at a Waffle House in Atlanta, Georgia. The call involved a heated argument between a customer and the restaurant’s employees.
Upon arriving at the scene, an officer encountered a visibly angry female customer who was expressing her dissatisfaction with her order. The situation quickly escalated, with the customer raising her voice, demanding a refund, and causing a disturbance within the establishment. Concerned about the well-being of the employees and other customers, the officer intervened and asked the customer to step outside for further discussion.
While speaking with the Waffle House employees, it was revealed that the customer had not only been loud and disruptive but had also made threats of violence, claiming she would shoot them. Although no firearm was actually seen, the employees reported feeling alarmed and concerned for their safety.
Based on the accounts from the employees and the disruptive behavior observed by the officer, the decision was made to arrest the customer. She was charged with disorderly conduct, a local ordinance violation, and subsequently transported to the DeKalb County jail for processing.
