Las Cruces, New Mexico — On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, about 11:00 a.m., , Las Cruces police became aware of a pursuit involving New Mexico State Police and a white sport utility vehicle driven by 47-year-old Bobby Charles Crawford. Police learned Crawford had warrants for his arrest and was failing to stop for NMSP officers. The warrants for Crawford’s arrest were for violating terms of his probation and other felony crimes. Las Cruces Police assisted NMSP in the pursuit which ended with a PIT, a Precision Immobilization Technique, near the intersection of Holman Road and Arroyo Road. Preliminary information from the investigation indicates that Crawford discharged multiple rounds at responding officers. Some of the rounds fired by Crawford entered the front, passenger-side, window of one of the marked police units.

Other rounds fired by Crawford entered through the windshield of a second officer’s marked unit. Both officers narrowly missed being struck by gunfire. Both officers received relatively minor injuries from glass shrapnel. In response to Crawford’s actions, three Las Cruces Police Department officers discharged their service weapons. Crawford was struck by at least one round. Crawford failed to comply with commands given by police until shortly before noon when he exited the SUV. After exiting the SUV and being detained, Crawford was provided first aid before he was airlifted to University Medical Center. Police recovered a weapon Crawford used. No major injuries were reported by the officers. Crawford is incarcerated in El Paso and waiting extradition to New Mexico where he is charged with two felony counts of attempted murder and three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer. He also faces one count each of aggravated fleeing, possession of a firearm by a felon, and shooting at or from a motor vehicle.

  1. AMERIKKKA 3rd world terarist country. Supports terarists and sick and disease twisted ideologies. A disgrace to humanity.
These cops though they’re bloody hero’s for taking on a job in a country like that.

  2. Does anyone know if that Sig 320 jammed because the slide hit the windshield before it went all the way back into battery or was it just doing that on its own? Jams at 1:26 then again at 1:29

  3. It's only a flesh wound!

Only the suspect was shot, and only once at that. Glad all the officers are okay. But damn guys, everyone need some more aim training….

  4. Damn they handled that dude quick and he survived pfff nice work Boys , ya got my respect 🇨🇦

  5. Please stop shooting through windshields. Second cop has a seriously limp wrist. Worst tactics and skill yet they both no doubt think they’re the best trained in the department. 🤡

  6. I'd prefer my tax dollars dig a hole for these dirtbags instead of provide housing and food.
These cops needed to step up their game like they did for officer Darian Jarrott

  7. After watching hundreds of these videos ever notice the cops using other pistols besides the Glock 17 have malfunctions during shootings? Almost everyone one. Look in this video to the cop using what appears to be an Sig Legion P320. Must have had three malfunctions in a row.

  8. The Sig P320, what a epic piece of junk pistol that is. I’d throw it in the street with a quarter taped to it so that way it’s worth something. Glad he survived though.

  9. Again a malfunction on a handgun during a shootout (at the third officer).
I don't know how often I saw that here.
    This is inaceptable.
Even the officer reacted quickly by unloading the chamber. But three times in a row?
There need to be an investigation which gun producers have the most malfunctions, get their management by their ears, cancle the supply contracts and make them heavy pay for.
These companies produce usually one kind of a product: guns.
So I expect them to make these products in perfection, especially if it's ment to be a service weapon.
