Los Angeles, California — On June 2, 2022, around 9:00 a.m., Olympic Division patrol officers responded to an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon” radio call in the 3000 block of 8th Street. As the officers responded to the area of the radio call, they observed a person matching the description of the suspect from the radio call. The officers immediately exited their vehicle to detain the suspect. The suspect fled on foot south on Berendo Street. The officers went in foot pursuit of the suspect. During the short foot pursuit, the suspect removed a handgun from his waistband and an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) occurred.

The suspect was struck by gunfire and continued running southbound into the parking lot of the shopping center on the northeast corner of Berendo Street and 8th Street. Seconds later, the suspect fell forward onto the pavement where he was taken into custody. A Rescue Ambulance (RA) unit was requested, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was performed by the officers while they waited for the RA unit to arrive. The RA arrived and pronounced the suspect deceased at scene. That suspect was later identified as 24-year-old Marvin Cua, a resident of Los Angeles. Cua’s loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun was recovered at scene and will be booked as evidence. No officers or bystanders were injured during the incident.

  1. It’s a miracle he made that shot. Look at his incorrect grip. Idk why most cops don’t know how to hold their pistol.

  2. That city is so ghetto that open air drug market people (homeless) don’t even flinch when the cop shoots the convict.

  3. Dude meditating at 50 seconds didn’t even get fazed by the bullet going above his head 🤣

  4. Can someone explain why shot if he was just running without pointing the gun? If there is proof that he is pointing at people and threatening people, then he is a danger to society but does an officer take the word of a random caller as fact? Or help me out.

  5. I don't see how posturing and trying to impress/scare school children is worth losing your life, but hey, another idiot off the streets is ok with me.

  6. independent review: so you shot at a suspect running away from you in the back?
    officer: yes
independent review: hmmm, that might be considered 2nd degree murder, sit tight, we'll be right back.

  7. I love the alternating "don't move" and "stick out your hands". Is that a normal procedure in the US, these commands seen as not contradicting?

  8. Why is it okay for cops to shoot people in the back when they're fleeing? And why are there so many boot lickers on these channels? It's beyond disgusting.

  9. ACAB — and also wildly irresponsible shooting a guy in public like that. But god damn that was an impressive shot. I wouldn't even be able to make that in a video game. Credit where credit is due.

  10. Thanks goodness the shooter was Hispanic so the woke mob can't reeee about White Supremacists shooting an innocent Hispanic who was just on his way the physics class.
