Neighbor Steps In: Child Rescued, Aunty Arrested for DUI

#CrimeCamNow
On May 2, 2023, A concerned neighbor called the Chamblee Police Department after spotting a woman, believed to be intoxicated, sitting in a car on her driveway with a young child.
Officers arrived at the scene. The neighbor, who recorded a video of the incident, expressed concern that the woman was a habitual drinker and had seen her intoxicated before.
A concerned neighbor took the young child into their home to provide comfort while police investigated.
Officers first checked on the woman’s well-being, offering medical assistance which she refused.
The woman claimed she was simply playing a game with her son in the driveway.
Officers observed damage to the car, including flat tires, that she couldn’t explain.
Despite denying any alcohol or drug use, she admitted to driving the car home.
Due to the evidence and the child’s safety concerns, the woman was arrested and placed in the back of the police vehicle.
Officers contacted the child’s grandmother, but she was unable to pick the child up.
Fortunately, another child’s relative lived nearby and was able to take temporary custody.
The woman was charged with DUI, possession of an open container and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

  1. 😏 Take the kid immediately and don't return him to her! I sorta doubt that the DUI case will stick without further incriminating proof showing what & where did she hit someone or something, when was she driving who actually witnessed her behind the wheel operating the car? She wasn't in the car when the cop arrived she was supposedly laying in the driveway then the chair. The neighbor witnessed hearing the kid crying and blowing the horn then he came over and took pics of her on the ground not in the car! I'm no lawyer by far just married to one but she practices Corporate Law and so does my son. I'm just a retired Army vet who now just works for the government. This is just my opinion being expressed

  2. Never trust a lady that puts their hair in a ball on top of their head I swear to god it’s an indicator of mental illness!

  3. I’m so glad this child had someone to advocate for him. As a child of an alcoholic not knowing where to turn is terrifying at a young age.

  4. Absolutely disgusting behavior shown by someone who is supposed to be a guardian of a child who has already been neglected by one set of parents…

  5. It might sound funny to some, but it's actually quite scary to see your mum or dad walk in drunk. Even if they're not being aggressive it's quite unsettling for a kid. This auntie needs a kick up the backside and to get her life in order. But I'll tell you what is far worse: being put into care, as anyone who has been through that hell will tell you.

  6. What don't make no sense is she said the tires been flat for a while but she's driving around drunk with a child in her car Wild the tire is going low make that make sense

  7. Every woman that says “I just want to be the fun wine aunt!!” … watch and see why us parents don’t want aunts like that around

  8. I wish I could get info on this little angel boy cus if he ends up in foster care we want to help save him! This lil guy was so brave, heart broken hearing his little voice confused of why his "mommy" won't wake 😢

  9. What's worse is that his aunt was supposed to be his savior from his addict mother… Who's next? Foster care? Poor lil guy deserves the world handed to him bc he has already been thru more than enough at such a young age! Protect him Lord please!!! 🥺

  10. Can they really go off by what she’s saying? On how she drove to the house and she’s so intoxicated she doesn’t know what’s going on? Because I doubt her condition she drove 130 miles from somewhere else.

  11. Holy crap, this is so disturbing. This child will be affected by this despite the fact that’s he’s only 4. She should never have custody of this child EVER again.
