  8. Similar thing just happened to me three days ago…..but I got a ticket because of it.

    So have you ever known a cop to knowingly write "bad" tickets?

    My example:
    Pulled over for speeding (legit – he got me). Was asked for license and proof of insurance. Took out my wallet and provided my license and cop noticed my pistol permit (ALABAMA). He asked if I had any weapons in the vehicle. I told him I did not have a weapon, although I do have a valid pistol permit. Everything was going just fine. No insurance card in my wallet to I told him I think it was in my glove box. He told me to go ahead and get it. I pulled out two expired insurance cards. Told the cop I must have forgot to put the current card in my glove box, but the same insurer and account number etc was the same.

    Cop went back to his car and came back with two tickets. one for speeding (again that was legit) and the other for failure to provide proof of insurance. Ok I thought…..gosh dang it.

    BUT THEN…

    The cop tells me he looked me up electronically and did verify my insurance. he points out on the ticker where he noted the cards I provided were expired but he did confirm it with the state electronic verification while in his car. He even noted on the ticket he confirmed I had insurance ! ! ! Then he explains "all ya gotta do is go to the courthouse and show an updated insurance card". He did not say what would happen once I did that. I guess the ticket would "go away"?

    Anyhow, I looked up the exact words on the ticket ordinance that he cited me for

    The text of Section 32-7A-16 (b)(1) reads: Operates a motor vehicle and upon demand of a law enforcement officer, fails or refuses to resent satisfactory evidence of insurance unless a law enforcement officer verifies motor vehicle liability insurance coverage through the online insurance verification system

    So now, I am home, reading the ticket and the legal section thinking WTF!? he wrote me a ticket for not breaking the law. he wrote a "bad" ticket on purpose?!

    This is p!ssing me off about as much as the fed ex guy who rings twice.

  15. I have a question, Mike, what are people suppose to do about corrupt cops?

    Some cops in my town dont read people there rights and harass people with records as well as there families.

    We have a lot of good people on the force, but those few bad apples make people around here not want to get involved with the system at all.

    A common thing said around here is "Dont talk to the cops, if you let them be aware of your exsistance youll never see the end of them."

    People dont even want to report crimes, its more trouble than its worth, and we are all aware of the problem but nobody does anything about it and even the other cops will brush off any complaints.

    They arent bad people, to be clear, they are just dont follow the rules and are super entitled with there power. It also only about 4 or 5 officers outta like 30 and they dont do enough to be fired, we just wanna trust them to follow the law and not harass people just cuase they are related to some criminals.

I love my Sheriff deputies where I live it's so laid back and chilled one time I was at the store and I saw that a deputy walked in and I looked up at him and pretended to bolt the other way and he shook his head no and started laughing his face was beet red😂 please don't try this yourselves it could go very very badly.

  32. Never admit to wrong doing, "I was speeding". When asked "do you know why I pulled you over", they are trying to get you to confess. Try this experiment, Search on Youtube Mexican cops beating people, you won't find a single video.

  37. Why don't cops carry fully automatic hand guns?. I'm sure under highly stressed situations some mag dump their gun anyway's.
