Eureka, California  On July 20, 2022, at 7:20 p.m., a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Field Training Officer and a deputy sheriff one undergoing field training were on patrol in the area of Fairway Drive in Eureka when they observed a white 2003 Kia Sorrento driving recklessly at approximately 65 miles per hour. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the Kia. The vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Darrike Miles McKeown, failed to yield and deputies initiated a pursuit. Investigators later learned that the Kia had been involved in a short pursuit with officers of the Eureka Police Department just prior to this incident. Deputies followed the Kia onto Vance Avenue from Herrick Avenue where the vehicle reached estimated speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.
Near the intersection of Vance and Eureka Streets, the front passenger of the vehicle, 32-year-old Jared Eli Aubrey, exhibited a rifle and fired multiple shots out of the vehicle towards the pursuing deputies. Deputies did not return fire at this location. Investigators were later notified that a bullet consistent with the ammunition fired from the suspect’s weapon entered a nearby home. No one was injured as a result. Deputies continued to pursue the vehicle for approximately 1.7 miles, traveling through the Pine Hill community and into Eureka city limits. Near the intersection of Utah Street and Highland Avenue, Aubrey leaned out the window and pointed the rifle at the Deputies. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Field Training Officer, utilizing a department issued rifle, fired four shots through his patrol vehicle’s windshield.
The pursuit then continued to Henderson Street, where McKeown began driving the wrong way, east on Henderson. The pursuit continued onto O Street and then onto Buhne Street with no further gunfire. At the intersection of Buhne Street and Harrison Avenue, the Kia struck a vehicle occupied by one civilian, and became disabled. Aubrey, McKeown and a third occupant of the Kia were detained at this location and ultimately, Aubrey and McKeown were arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. The civilian and McKeown both sustained injuries as a result of the traffic collision. Further examination of the involved patrol vehicle revealed that the vehicle had been struck multiple times. Evidence obtained through this investigation indicate Aubrey fired from an AK-47 style assault rifle which was still in his possession upon being taken into custody.

Totally outta control 👮â€Â♂ï¸Â
Really Scarey.
Good work on the deputies' part. Could you elaborate on the description of the suspects' weapon? What do you define as an "assault" rifle? If you have no definition why use the term?
They made it 3 minutes and still alive somehow
Dangerous lunatic with a badge
When your cop sidekick asks: "How do I rake… uh.. rack a round in it." You Americans need to train your police better my god. How do you make it through your initiation training and not properly know how to use the firearms they give you? That's like being a carpenter and not knowing what a hammer is.
Time to bring back the swarm of angry Bees, full auto 22 high cyclic rate, perfect for ending scumbags in a pursuit
weird how even LEOs call it assault rifles lol
None of this makes sense. The guy driving has the long gun and is freaking driving and the passenger is just sitting there twiddling his thumbs? And How is a TO sitting there shooting thru his windshield with a trainee in the car and then just starts screaming nonsense at the top of his lungs. Hope these guys get some better training in the future
Didnt know seth rogan was a cop
I mean, such criminals should be executed, not coddled in jail.
No reason he should of shot from the car. Don't act like a fuckubg criminal by endangering other fucking people because your fucking ego wasn't thinking
They should change it to the clone activity
Sounds like a mix between Danny McBride and Seth Rogan.
Shooter should exe*cuted.
How many think the feds will pursue charges for the SBR? I won't hold my breath.
It is no accident Ca is in this channel way many more times than any other state, what does that tells you about the affairs of things in Ca?
Governor Gruesome you’re the best! Thanks a ducking bunch!
My big complaint with these things is the contradictory orders, "get out of the vehicle" "Don't move" "Anyone moving will get shot"
What exactly is the suspect to do, when all actions or no actions are non compliance.
"Roll your window up" so I can blast your eardrums out of your head. Lol.
Cocaine’s a helluva drug
That officer should be sitting in a prison cell right now. This concept that the police can do absolutely whatever dangerous, wreckless shit they feel like with zero consequences needs to come to an abrupt end.
Donut will make you pay for this on his patreon. Watch here!
That officer must of been a war veteran
And people are always curious of what white privilege is, If they were black they would’ve been killed
Reckless and careless with government property. A new windshield is $500+ these days.
After telling them to get on the ground and they don't, they need shot.
next morning at the department… "well, how do you plan to top yesterday?"
Gotta stand and say good leadership in the field on the fly. No training schedule, muscle memory. Ya just cant duplicate this well often enough.
Sound like a very uncontrolled scene.
