There is more law enforcement footage available to the public today than at any point in history. Some people watch that footage and assume that they are seeing a representative picture of police work. Those people are usually wrong.
An overwhelming majority of the law enforcement footage available to the public does not represent the day-to-day reality of law enforcement. Reality tends to skew heavily toward the boring (and often depressing), not the exciting and adrenaline-filled.
Movie plot-lines? They happen. But not always. Not even close.
When was the last time you saw video of a police dog in action?
Did they get the suspect? Was there a lot of shouting? An excited dog getting praised for biting the bad guy?
Have you ever seen a K9 deployment that went like this?
Which do you think happens more often?

I want one of those flash lights. Damn.
He might be the luckiest person I've seen in a long time, I thought for sure nobody survived when I saw those cars.
It takes a special kind of piece of crap to run away from that in my opinion, whoever was at fault it was, although I'm assuming the people who ran were probably at fault.
Glad Patrick made it and hopefully he's compensated very handsomely by the hit and run pieces of crap
That’s grillz a restaurant a few blocks from my house. That guy is super lucky to be alive.
So a white woman is a whiskey fox trot 😂😂 thats hilarious
Although loosing your your car sucks real bad, loosing a person is even worse. A car can be replaced but a person cant.
Bro your mom is probably just happy you survived that.
I ask my K-9 guys what their pup’s favorite treat is and I carry it in my car just for the occasion.
You sooooo blessed to not suffer any life threatening injuries
Man Patrick didnt deserve this shit
Please say if they were ever caught!!
I hope dog found them and completed his mission . We
So Did they ever catch them Unless the Truck was stolen They will run the plates to see who owns it. Poor Kid I am glad he will be ok.
The dog is like going to take a piss real quick
Dog needs to go back for more training
Wow, riveting stuff here
What a shitty world where people worry more about their car than their well being. Poor dudes insurance is going to screw him over.
It seems pretty clear from the get-go this dog is not on a good track
So the dog pulls one way and the handler doesn’t go there, go under bridge, look up into trees, on other side of fence, in dumpster area, just bizarre search ever
I don't believe they got them !!
I got hit twice in less than two years by horrible drivers and walked away hurt, but alive. I pray for that man, because he is going to be angry for a while!
Pay some kid to walk the other way with pre-cooked bacon in a bag in his pocket, all planned ahead.
My guy getting racks to the pocket for this one
How does the dog know who he's looking for?
