2. This is nothing new, I can remember sense before 1998 the curve has always been the race spot. My question is this, if racing has always been so popular in South, Fl why did they close down all the local tracks?? It’s like they want to set us up for this!!

6. Why not reopen the race tracks we had in south Florida ? All this acting to fix problem when all you guys want is to give tickets and arrest people,if the state or city care enough to really reduce the problem would do something to reopen this tracks, but of course we don’t have any SUPPORT OR HELP US HERE IN MIAMI OR SOUTH FLORIDA, but well I am just a little guy, and many other people that won’t get answers to this.

    I know this won't be a popular opinion in these comments. I'm not anti, cop, but I am pro freedom. Until one person infringes on another person's rights, there's no crime. If you think government is motivated by "keeping us safe," you don't know the history of government.

14. The more race tracks that get shut down, the more racers will turn to the streets. Want to solve this in a much more permanent way that stings every now and then, stop shutting down race tracks lake Laguna Seca for example.

18. What places like Miami-Dade and Orange Counties should do is build a public dragway, where you pay $5 to enter and then you can drag race down the track all you want. Brat kids doing this takeover stuff would simply go to these places instead of street race and everyone would be safer.

    Local governments spend millions of dollars each year to build new parks; Why not build some county automotive parks? The automotive hobby can keep young people out of trouble if they have a place to legally pursue it.

    Street racing is big in Orlando and Miami, but pretty sparse elsewhere. I'm glad to see them cracking down upon it. Now, if they could just go after all the knuckleheads driving their phone with their car plastered to their ear or texting….

32. I 75 south of 4 in Tampa is a speeders paradise at night southbound. I have ran someone everytime i went thru when traffic permitting . Sadly i have seen others not to be so safety minded . Yes i know speeding is illegal.
