Issued many verbal commands, kept dispatch updated in the heat of the moment, stayed calm, maintained enough distance to give some time to attempt deescalation. Fired only when absolutely necessary. Fired minimum required rounds. Really, really impressive self control while facing off with an attempted murderer!
