Solon, Ohio — On June 25, 2023, around 1:54 a.m. a Solon Police officer initiated a traffic stop of a black 2015 Nissan Altima traveling east on US Route 422 at 88 MPH in a posted 60 MPH zone. During the initial contact the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The officer instructed the suspect to exit the vehicle for a probable cause search. After over four minutes of the suspect refusing to exit, the suspect admitted to the officer that he had a firearm in the vehicle. When the officer tried to remove the suspect from the vehicle, the suspect drove away.

This resulted in the officer being dragged by the suspect’s vehicle. 57-year-old Patrolman James Cervik, a 31-year veteran of the Solon Police Department, was treated and released at a local hospital for minor injuries. Another officer spotted the suspect’s vehicle as it exited onto Harper Road southbound. The officer initiated a brief pursuit, but terminated for safety reasons as the suspect’s vehicle exceeded 100 MPH as it continued south onto Cochran Road. Arrest warrants were issued for 27-year-old Termaine Tyrone Jackson, of Twinsburg, for charges of Assault on a Peace Officer, Obstructing Official Business, and Fleeing and Eluding.

  1. He shouldn't of been let out of prison anyway.
End parole. It doesn't exist in the federal system. Time to get rid of it everywhere.

  2. 31 years on the force and the cop makes a rookie move. Never, EVER put yourself inside of a running vehicle with a suspect behind the wheel! He broke a cardinal rule!

  3. You never ever ever, put the heaviest part of your body the head inside a suspects vehicle when you are not in total control,You grab the arm,or long hair,or even stick two fingers in their mouth between the teeth and cheek like holding a fish, but never get in a situation you can be dragged

  4. LEOs, how many times do you have to be told, DO NOT jump in or reach into a car with the suspect at the wheel. Rarely ends well for the LEO.

  5. "The officer initiated a brief pursuit, but terminated for safety reasons as the suspect’s vehicle exceeded 100 MPH"
what kinda BS is that !??!?!
we got soccer moms going 100mph in their SUVs, and the police terminate a pursuit of a known felon because he exceeds 100mph!?!?

  6. Option A: comply and spend 3 to 6 for a convicted felony in possession of a firearm.
Option B: get an attempted murder charge for dragging an officer with a motorized vehicle while fleeing a legal traffic stop.
I really don't understand how option B could ever cross your mind as a best-case scenario. Maybe we should ask our kids what option would they choose. Don't automatically assume they'll pick option A.

  7. Stupid criminals that probably had bad parenting, if any leads to them constantly making these dumb decisions that eventually ends up with them dead or in jail for life.

  8. Only in Ohio ☠☠☠💀💀💀☠☠☠☠💀💀💀💀☠☠☠☠💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

  9. I smell weed. This is one of many reasons I stood against the prohibition of cannabis for many years. He ran because he knew that the vehicle could be seized. I will say that even with legalization, it's still not a good idea to be smoking it in a vehicle. That does compare to drinking and driving. The prosecution's key witness is the Rittenhouse trial was a felon with a firearm who also should have been charged with attempted murder. Cops go through a lot.

  10. I would only ask a maximum of three times to get out of the car, then – taser, taser, taser…..

  11. Well he must love the jail cell!! No it’s not racism , so sick of the victim argument. Most of society doesn’t conduct themselves in this way.

  12. And to think, we as tyrannical white people owe this guy 1.5 million dollars of the money we work for because 200 years ago there were black slaves.

  13. I need to know that this son of a Jezebel actually has been arrested. If he hasn’t I think I’m driving there until I track his ass down and serve his warrant.
