On the night of December 26, 2021, Brookhaven police officers responded to a call about a drunk ex-couple engaged in heated arguments in Brookhaven. Georgia.
Earlier that night, in the midst of their intoxicated disputes, the couple had been separated. However, the peace was short-lived as the male returned later to retrieve his belongings.
Upon arrival, the scene was chaotic. The female, now outside, was screaming, and a concerned friend attempted to block her ex-partner from entering the apartment.
Tensions escalated, and it became evident that a physical altercation was imminent.
The responding officer swiftly intervened, instructing the male to put his hands behind his back. However, defiance was the immediate response.
With a firm warning, the officer informed the male that he would be tased if compliance was not immediate. Ignoring the command, the male refused to cooperate.
Subsequently, he was arrested and hit with charges of Public Intoxication, Obstruction, and Disorderly Conduct. The night’s tumultuous events concluded with the male being transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
