Sticking with the Las Cruces theme for a while longer, this installment comes from the archives – prior to the introduction of the Axon Body 2 (and now 3) body worn camera. In this 2017 video, officers respond to a gas station convenience store for a report of a young man passed out in his truck.
On arrival, it is apparent that the subject is (a) likely underage, and (b) smashed.
Watch as officers turn this case of underage drinking and driving into a night in jail. (Also, a pretty amusing interaction over a false ID.)

Got one myself at 18 a month after graduation.. not for alcohol but weed, still the same consequence. It's not the end of the world just get wiser and make better decisions

Man, this young shaver really didn't do too bad doing that bullshit testing they love to give, and they just fucked his whole life up with that. Give his ass a ride home, let the parents know, ticket him for open container or some other less life changing offense and give him a chance to get his act together and move forward in life. But we all know there's no money or promotions in warnings. Must extort as much as possible

I drove hung over af rear ended someone, I tried my best to not get caught by officer…I didnt get caught…but I never drove like that again…I felt so lucky!

as horrible as it is getting arrested for DUI, it beats killing someone and having to live with that for the rest of your life. its just crazy how many people choose to get behind the wheel drunk with all of our modern technology calling for rides.
Are these tests not voluntary for minors cuz he didn't mention a damn thing about this kid having a choice. I get it. I'd whoop my kids ass for driving drunk but you best damn well call me to get there before you set him up with these foul ass tests!

Lol, the more I watch them perform the eye test, the more bizarre it seems. I know it's a reliable test, but out of context it looks like the cops are at a rave, entertaining someone on acid, or like the cops are sorcerers hypnotizing someone.
He could just say he wasn't driving. Why did the cops humiliate him with these stupid tests when he wasn't driving? That was ridiculous.

Yeah he’s drunk, but he parked the vehicle in between the lines. Which is more then I can say for a lot of sober people 😂
