Unwelcome Occupants: Police Arrest Trespassers Causing Property Damage

#CrimeCamNow
On February 2, 2023, Chamblee police officers swiftly responded to a report from a concerned homeowner who discovered unauthorized individuals inside his supposedly vacant house. The homeowner had arrived to check on the property and was alarmed to find lights on inside, prompting him to contact the police for assistance.
Upon arrival, the officers entered the premises and conducted a thorough search of the house. To their surprise, they encountered two individuals who claimed to have been granted temporary residence by a person named Wayne. However, their explanation was met with skepticism as the homeowner confirmed that he had no knowledge of such an arrangement.
As the homeowner inspected his property, he was disheartened to discover substantial damage to his belongings. It became evident that the trespassers had not only invaded his privacy but also caused significant harm to his personal possessions.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the officers promptly apprehended both individuals for criminal trespass. They were subsequently taken into custody and transported to the DeKalb County jail to face legal consequences for their actions.
