Fairfax, Virginia — A Fairfax County Police Department officer faces three charges of assault and battery relating to an on-duty incident Friday. Fairfax County Officer Tyler Timberlake was arrested June 6, after bodycam shows him striking the man with a stun gun and then getting on top of him, along with the officer wearing the body camera. Once Timberlake is on top of the man, he presses the stun gun into the back of his neck and fires again. Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin C. Roessler Jr. said someone had called police about a man walking down a street shouting that he needed oxygen. An officer who responded before Timberlake had tried to deescalate the situation, the police chief said, adding that it’s unclear why Timberlake used his stun gun. As part of the investigation into the incident, the other three officers involved were placed on administrative leave. The man was treated at a hospital and released, the chief said. Timberlake faces up to 36 months of incarceration.

  3. This is bs. They would've stayed there the whole afternoon wasn't for the taser, this was for his own good. I for one am against such a huge waste of resources on a hopeless person like this. 2 vehicles and like 6 public servants working for a few hours + the medic care being spent on a guy walking randomly in the middle of the street talking nonsense. What does this achieve? I bet he never paid a single penny on tax either.

  6. It really bothers me that this cop got charged for "aggressively using his tazer" bc clearly we can all see that this bavo-mike is resisting A LOT. Now I'm just pissed off.

  9. In all honesty with his mannerisms and disjointed communications, the way he walks in circles, to me looks like he had a stroke. Caused by drugs or whatever the man needed help. He was clearly confused, disoriented and in need of help. Instead he was given nearly lethal doses of electricity to "subdue" him. These cops act like they have better things to do, but more often then not we as tax payers afford them their salary to just sit on their butts in parking lots or pay for their gas as they drive around for 12 hour shifts. Pay for them to shoot bullets that we pay for so they can "train" to shoot more people. All so that they can do this and others things to human beings. Unfortunately this channel depicts that 85% of interactions lead to death, gross misuse of force or harassment on behalf of police. I have literally seen like 5 videos so far out of 150 which shows them helping someone. I get that this does not show all police encounters, only because those are the ones where police show up and nothing happens. No arrests, no brawls, no tasers, no spray, just pure Hello – Goodbye, scenarios. There has to be entertainment for it to get views, no one is gonna watch those. Thus we are shown these moments, which leave us cheering or shaking our heads and simply crying for those that don't deserve what they got. Either way I'm left feeling more and more hate for every interaction. People call cops pigs, but when it boils down to it, are we not the pigs, cast out for the slaughter, and they the butchers to profit off our deceased? Food for thought.

    Cop 1 asked is he wanted, just about the time cop 2 lit him up.
    Cop 1 did a good job.
    Cop 2 needs his ass tased like that everyday for a month till he learns how to treat people.

  35. How can this be questioned as the officers were dealing with an individual that was obviously impaired and therefore a genuine threat! It was a just and fair use of reasonable force to de-escalate the situation.

  40. Lesson learned: Tasers only give tweakers more power. Hope they added that to the officers' training manual.
