The NYPD are not trained to deal with the mentally ill….upon arrival of any officer that responds to a EDP call, they immediately put their gloves on as if they’re going to get ready for a fight…. the guy here was going through a mental episode and the only people that should have responded was EMS…. CPU had to intervene on behalf of the guy so that he will not get arrested for being mentally ill
