INCIDENT DATE: 05-24-24
TIME & LOCATION: Washington Square Park at 3:10pm.
During a “Bob Dylan Birthday Event” at Washington Square Park, an unknown person that was stalking 1 of the guitarists at the Bob Dylan Event filed a False assault report with the NYPD which prompt officers to falsely arrest the Guitarists during the event in front of his fans who were also enjoying the event.
while 2 female fans walked over to confront the guy who fabricated that report, 6Pct NYPD Sgt. Robert J. Cartmell immediately grabbed the woman for NO REASON and began to physically brutalize this woman in front of people at the park…This Sgt. grabbed her neck & hair on multiple occasions & assaulted her while she was trying to protect herself from a violent encounter with this NYPD Sgt…..He grabbed her by her hair and held her head down on a very hot asphalt, as the temperature read almost 90°, and thats on top of the brutal assault.
ALL MEASURES are being taken to hold this NYPD Sgt accountable for this violent unessesary assault at Washington Square Park, and I have already reached out to family & friends, and I am working with them to get some kind of relief for her and everyone involved.
