Cellphones has became a major distraction for the #NYPD, Furthermore, CPU has seen a large spike of officers regularly using their cellphones (Personal Devices) while on active duty which calls into question the safety and the security of the civilians these officers are paid to protect, and also the safety for the officers that are being distracted by their personal phones while they are out in the field…Officers are supposed to be held to a higher standard, also, when you have a Sgt. violating the NYPD Patrol Guide by using his personal phone, what example does that show, and how can this Sgt. be trusted and watch my Six (6) if he is allowing his officers to be distracted, and their lives being put on the line by showing his officers that it is ok to be distracted which can cost the lives of officers and civilians combined….These officers should be reprimanded and retrained or just get rid of them all together…
