CPU was documenting a car stop in East Harlem where a privileged couple was pulled over for a busted tail light, in the process of their investigation, the vehicle came back unregistered and a license suspended, however NYPD SRG-1 officers gave these Privledged people a pass by just letting them go, they basically abandoned the car stop without even notifying the driver that he was free to go, as you can see that the driver stood in limbo not knowing what to do… CPU has recorded many car stops where people of color (Black & Brown) were pulled over for the same offense, unregistered vehicle and no license or suspended license and immediately arrested and their car towed away… this is exactly the difference between privileged people and minority people and how are they treated differently by the color of their skin…#nypd #copwatch #copwatchpatrolunit
