As a former police officer trained to recognize complacency among fellow officers, I am attentive to critical choke points where incidents may arise. This is one of them!
While observing this Orlando Police Officer, who likely received training for such critical scenarios, I noticed he was texting on his phone the entire time when crowds were walking out. He was stationed at the checkpoint where security screened everyone on the walkover bridge after a sold-out concert. Strategically he should have been positioned at the dispersal point where the fatal funnel would empty out into the parking garage, as that is where a potential attack would begin.
You’ll notice where I walk, its on the outer side, near metal cover, and the easiest place to move quicky in a rush.
