On Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 9:19 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded to 11th and Vine Street for an auto-pedestrian leaving the scene. A vehicle was traveling westbound on Vine Street on a green light. Pedestrian, a 53-year-old black male, was walking southbound on 11th Street, crossing the westbound lanes of Vine Street at the crosswalk, when the vehicle made contact with the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene westbound on Vine Street without rendering aid. PFD-Medic Unit transported the victim to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was placed in critical but stable condition. The scene was held and no arrest at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing with Crash Investigation Division.
