The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is looking to identify the individuals depicted in the following surveillance video excerpts, as part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting death of a 42-year-old black male that occurred on January 2nd, 2022, at approximately 9:19 PM in the 2800 block of N. 28th Street (Near Huntingdon Street).
The following excerpts show 4 males together, separating in pairs of two, and then meeting up again over a period of 20 minutes while walking almost in a full circle. The streets they travelled are 2900 through 2500 Oakdale, 2600-2400 Lehigh Ave, 2500-2700 Huntingdon Street. Then finally 2500 N. 28th Street. The description of the 4 suspects are as follows:
Suspect Description:
Suspect #1: Black male, thin, 14-18 years old armed with a black 9 mm handgun. Wearing a black coat with reflective writing across the back of the coat and an emblem on the left breast, black pants, dark New Balance running shoes with light colored “Nâ€Â.
Suspect #2: Black male thin, 14-18 years old, wearing a light-colored hood, black pants, and light-colored sneakers.
Suspect #3: Black male, thin, 14-18 years old wearing a black ski mask, gray wind breaker with hood and white sleeves and black pants. He appears the tallest of the 4 males.
Suspect #4: Black male, short, stocky wearing a black hood and black pants. He is unmasked. Also wore dark New Balance with light colored “Nâ€Â.
