7. I recall at 16 years old a Latin Pastor's Latin wife whose daughter I had previously dated looked at me with a straight face and said to me, "We're closer to white". I am now 40+ years old and I will never forget that as long as I live. George was telling the truth. In some aspects, many Latin people can be extreme bigots just like the KKK or other white supremist groups. Despite some exceptions, I think people of primarily African decent are the most accepting of other races out of all races on the planet. What I find baffling is that most Latino cultures have African ancestry. Therefore these kinds of sentiments within the Latin community is contradictory to their own heritage and thus a form of "self hate".
