31st Marine Expeditionary Unit – Marksmanship Training

Marines and Sailors with the Force Reconnaissance Platoon (FRP), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct marksmanship training at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, June 30, 2020.

This marksmanship program is designed to increase their speed and accuracy at close range.

The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and quick reaction force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.

  4. Вооруженные силы здорового человека, не то что постсовковая СНГшная недоармия

  5. Does anyone know what the cylindrical object wrapped in multicam cordura strapped to the back of the plate carrier of the last guy in the video is?

  6. Is it me but is their a lot of skinny people in these SOF forces in the armed forces. Probably because they didn’t each much while in academy.

  7. 👍👍🇺🇸❤️🇲🇾🤗🤗

  8. Someone please get Bill Blowers, or Jared Reston, or Aaron Cowan, or Rob Vogel, or Scott Jedlinski or some reputable instructor (many great ones out there) in here to help these meat eaters with their pistol and rifle fundamentals 😭

  9. Id call myself blessed if any point in my life I gain one tenth the lethality of these Marines. Thank you for your sacrifice, Semper Fi.

  10. Hey guys, what cammo pattern is that? I appreciate the feedback. Also, what types of cammo patterns are popular with more elite/ clandestine units?

  11. I think I'm going deaf from watching all of these marksmanship training videos, but my shooting still sucks.

  12. That one Marine with a piece of multicam kit must've gotten some shit for it. You them boys love their Marpat.

  13. 🤦🏾‍♂…when are we gonna do away with the unrealistic side to side scanning after fire…at least if you're gonna stimulate scanning, actually do a 360° sweep…this is a cringy movement that creates bad habits

  14. What happened to the Silent Professionals. Why are the Marines (and others) so eager to show their stuff on social media. Surely our adversaries also watch. In the seminal military book, The Enlightened Soldier, there is a great line: "Always be more than you appear to be". Marines need to resist the urge to be on social media talking their craft. Special operations are special because they are discreet and clandestine. Let deeds speak for themselves. Stop tooting your own horn for financial gain and notoriaty.

  15. Those 45's look like PARA USA models. I have one and it looks like that's what these Marines are using! My son got one when he was in Afghanistan back in 2010. PARA USA was selling high capacity 45's at half price to the Marines stationed there. The model is P45-14. They hold 14 rounds plus one in the chamber. The only problem with them is they have intermittent feeding issues. The problem is with the magazine springs not being strong enough. I don't know if PARA USA fixed the problem since then, but it's recommended to upgrade the springs if you have and older high cap model!

  16. Shoot your pistol with one hand. Use your middle finger to pull the trigger. pointer finger along a frame of the gun. You can naturally point in the dark. Pull the trigger with your middle finger everyone military-trained will think that you're in a safe position. When you're really right there and have the drop on them. Shooter pistol with both hands one of their time. Use both eyes train with your weak eye. Playing with your week arm so that you can shoot with both hands don't stand broadside making a wide Target stand sideways shoot with one hand. The military trains you how did not shoot people in your unit. If you are alone use is my method it makes bolt-action rifles easy awesome

  17. Ahhh that brings me back, I wasn’t force recon but I was a Marine, 0811 artillery cannoneer…yes I’m a POG, yet my deployments weren’t on a gun line. I was in from 06-10….and we didn’t get pistol training. Just a select few from our battery, officers and non-coms did.

We did do the qual 2 range ( I think I’m remembering that right) anyway, it’s not fun when you get brass in between your flak, and your neck. Nice and hot. They had us pretty close to each other.

  18. Salute Excellent Very Good sir 🌹🕉️🇮🇳🕉️🌹
