A federal appeals court issued an order that prevents Texas from arresting migrants suspected of entering the U.S. illegally, hours after the Supreme Court allowed the new immigration law to take effect. This all relates to Senate Bill 4, known as SB4. Texas State Senator Paul Bettencourt, a Republican, was one of the co-authors of SB4 and explained the purpose behind the law.
