There was a time when polls meant something more than headlines and eyeballs, but not so much in 2024. Now, polls only work if you want to know what the few old folks with landlines, or those who don't know how to silence unknown callers on their cell phones think. And we know who they are, lol.
Here's the methodology for NYT/Siena:
"Respondents are randomly selected from a national list of registered voters, and we call voters both on landlines and cellphones. In recent Times/Siena polls, more than 90 percent of voters were reached by cellphone."
