Robbies laughter is totally appropriate. They can go get pizza. Even on campus there are usually places you can go to bring the food out. Otherwise, you have to go to a designated food hall with your own id. Bri is looting. They were asked if food had been blocked right there in the interview and she said no it hasn't, she was only seeking a commitment not to do that but also seemed to want to have access to food plans outside of regular food spaces. Agree Columbia and Israel are equally guilty of collective punishment if you make up your own definition of collective punishment. I bet their threat to accuse Columbia of "starving" students out was the reason they finally decided to call the police. Columbia is actually responsible and can be sued since it's their property and their supervision. And these idiots would definitely do it.

It's fair enough to say that she was grossly misinterpreted, and that the request that food not be blocked is reasonable. However, saying that she was poised and articulate, is ridiculous. She was melodramatic and clumsy beyond belief. Don't get me wrong. She's young and inexperienced. Public speaking is a skill of its own. Nerves and clumsiness is natural. There are plenty of otherwise highly intelligent and articulate people, who end up looking like clowns when having to speak publicly. The fact remains, though, that the protesters need to find someone else to speak for them. She's not ready for the task.

The university, wants to be "looked at" as a place of higher education, open to every idea and tolerant of legal, meaningful protest, not unlawful occupation of facilities. That behavior indicates one of two things, the protesters can't win a debate based on logic and truth, the heart of any education or something else is their true objective.
Israel is NOT committing a genocide in Gaza. If Israel was willing to commit a genocide this war would have been over in a matter of days and hundreds of Israeli soldiers would still be alive. Israel has the ability to commit genocide but not the desire. Hamas and their supporters on the other hand very much would like to commit a genocide but, thankfully, don't have the ability. If people wanted to protest against actual genocides they should be protesting against the ongoing genocide of Christians in Nigeria (by Muslims) or against China for it's ongoing genocide against the Uyghurs.
