Any decent person would be horrified at the thought of terrifying and stealing from another human being. These people are not decent, and your defending them is nonsensically and childish. I can only assume your a comfortable child of privilege burdened by guilt of the unearned.
As someone who has been a victim of gun violence, i can say victims feel like they dont matter. The perpetrator in my case was charged with 3 felonies including kidnapping and illegal discharge of a firearm. He then got two misdemeanors for continuing to harass me. He recieved mental diversion and as soon as he completes the program, all his charges disappear
