18. I believe that once Theresa spent time with Gerry she realized their lifestyles were too different. He wanted her to quit her job and she didn't want to. She also eats healthy foods, and he prefers a different way of eating. I think when she went to visit him in Indiana his lifestyle was going out and being with friends every evening and she is more of a stay at home kind of person.

20. If this person talking with the host here, had watched the show, or had done her research, she would have known that it wasn’t the Bachelor franchise that had rushed this wedding. That it was this couple’s wish to get married one month after it was revealed whom Gerry had chosen. It was totally ludicrous! However, they were in an heightened environment, where the romantic bubble totally enveloped them. I think Gerry encouraged the idea, and Theresa thinking she loved him, and couldn’t wait to marry him, agreed. I know I was gobsmacked that a couple with grandchildren, wouldn’t take the time to make sure everything was on point, and the major life issues were addressed and settled before taking vows.

There's something going on that we don't get to hear about….. trust issues, maybe Gerry's true nature (never trusted his flakey charm) … I think he got excited and chose Teresa because of her good financial position but didn't realize it was work that she loved and would not give up working, … he may have been hoping they could just enjoy life. For sure I agree, you'd think the 'old' folks would have got their act together, certainly not break up when they'd barely started!
