  1. Bri and Robby are showing meso-literacy on the tech here. Two words explain the intensely negative reaction from creatives: Generative AI. As others have said: read the room, Apple.

  2. The problem with that ad was not that it was offensive but that it is accurate. It does not portray culture as something hateful, woese, it portrays it as something worthless.

  3. Bri & Robbie finally found agreement to promote another piece of garbage tech from a corrupt company.

A 13+ minute commercial for iTurd, brought to you by your corporate owned team @ The Hill. 🙄💰👃🐙💰😏

  4. I thought it was awesome, simply everything built into one product and the flatest iPad ever made, people crying and getting offended are just a bunch of crybabies, get over it, I applaud Tim Cook

  5. Reading too much into the commercial. Interesting reaction, I can see hoe some artists ended up cringing. I do not think any walk back or comment needed to be made though.

  6. I do not consider myself an “environmentalist,” but I believe in recycling when able and in not creating waste for landfills if possible. I also came from a poor, immigrant family. Therefore, I do not like my children watching those kinds of videos that crush perfectly good things for no reason. My visceral reaction is that it is just wasteful.

  7. My take is instead of stifling creativity by giving access to a few of these items. The new Apple IPad gives you all of this technology in one device. Expanding your creativity thousandfold.

I mean, come on, Apple didn't really destroy any of these items. You can still acquire and use them. The truth is, do we really? Can't afford an easel, various paints, pens, canvases, and brushes? With the Apple IPad, it's all at your fingertips but for the cost of one piece of tech.

I believe some people jump online just to whine about things that aren't really a problem. If you saw anything in this commercial that you want to use, go buy it. But don't be angry at Apple for giving you an alternative.

  8. Apple should open up their file system. iPhoneOS 2 OR 3 or whatever people know their phone system is is a little bad for them until save files

  9. I saw the keynote and when I saw that ad it was cringe. This is no longer the Apple Steve Jobs brought back to life and made it a powerhouse of a company again.

  10. The ad isn't the problem. People are treating it as a symbolic message, like that you see in a literature or film class. Its obvious that its saying that you can do music, art writing, etc, etc, on the ipad….like…no duh.

  11. …and no mention of the AI expansion that will make many peoples work and creativity obsolete.

Technology companies already control musicians revenue streams for the content they host be it Apple Music, Spotify, etc. Existing creative works are being learned by AI systems, and even long dead actors can be recreated by AI…

The M4 chip has expanded AI capabilities.

  12. I agree with Bri on this one. I get tons of satisfaction from those shredder videos. I can watch tlatuff get shredded all day.
