  26. Everyone is equal before the law. At least this is how it's supposed to be, isn't it? Collective punishment is wrong, regardless who's being punished – Jews or Palestinians. Committing war crimes is wrong, regardless who's doing it or for what reasons. This policy – a victim of aggression may defend itself by any means necessary – simply contradicts the general premise of protecting a world order based on treaties and international law. You can't have it both ways. Either you play a role of a policeman and then you defend the law and the task is to stop the crime with least violent means possible and then let independent investigators and prosecutors bring it to trial and justice, like let ICC do their job. Or you play a vigilante and then the task is indeed to protect the weak by any means necessary, to judge and execute "the bad guys". Only the latter is a slippery slope, too easy to cross the line, and this has nothing to do with law or justice
