I would further add that this could even be traced back to the landmark 1803 case of Marbury v Madison in which the Supreme Court arrogated to itself the power to interpret the Constitution. Since that time, numerous "inferior" courts (language found in the Constitution) have also made their interpretations, thus giving the judiciary a blank check to say what the Constitution means. Progressives just latched onto that and used the power of the judiciary (that they helped shape) to take things to a different level.
With all due respect to the podcaster and guest, I have to disagree that the ruling class is taking power. Americans are giving their blessings to our freedoms eroding on our watch. Case in point. 2 Wars, economy in shambles. Political system at risk, mass shootings just about every day. 500,000 + dead on Ukraine Battlefields, 10's of thousands dead in Gaza. But all I see is superbowl fever. The Elites have proven we are not capable of governing ourselves.

I think it is time for them to stop mocking common sense, do not say more that it was proven that there was no fraud, they simply did not want to audit the vote, counting ballots is different from auditing them; At 12 at night Trump had won in 6 States, they stopped broadcasting the vote on TV, they even sent the supervisors home (Georgia, that is Unconstitutional) and in the morning Biden was already the winner; putting ballots in the mail that should have been counted much earlier to avoid fraud; That the "subjectivity" of the Judges does not see sufficient evidence is different from denying or affirming that there was fraud; You cannot judge when the possibility of checking the evidence has been denied, everything you do based on the fact that there was no fraud is really a fraud

The danger here is that if the Sect'y of States' rulings are allowed to stand, there could even be retaliation in some states where Biden is removed from the ballot because they saw treason by not securing the Southern Border. And then you have a civil war.

In America "We the people" voted Trump into office because he was not a corrupt tax and spend politician. Trump won the re_election right up until the mail in early votes were counted. CBS, MSNBC, & ABC promoted early voting before Trump even started to run for election when Biden's poles were higher. That kind of vote manipulation is how the election was stolen from Trump & how the American people were cheated. Trump made mistakes defending himself against the election manipulation and now the TV news media company's spends most of their time bashing Trump when actually Trump was a fairly good president.
Biased people quickly forget that their own News company reported that all areas of the government decided that military and other forms of protection would not be needed for the planed JAN 6th protest of the Capitol building. So now they are wrongfully blaming Trump for not providing protection. Trump can not call off what he didn't create. The few that knocked down the metal fence led the flock of fools into the building. No one could have guessed that would have played out. Trump called for a peaceful protest. What they did, they did on their own, like sports fan foolishness. Since games were banned because of COV-2 virus, there was a lot of built up internal pressure in idiots that needed a release. They just went where the action is.
If the CBS & MSNBC biased democrat propaganda media machines didn't spent thousands of hours bashing Trump for years, Maine & Colorado wouldn't have banned Trump. Totally agree that a court ruling – not the beliefs of a single government official – needs to be what decides whether the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment applies to Trump. So I'm fine with what happened in Colorado, but not with what happened in Maine. Of course, the decision in Maine will still ultimately end up being decided in the courts, but as a matter of process and principle, the courts are where the decision of fact about Trump's insurrection (psssst… there's zero doubt that it's a fact) should've started, not where it should be decided after appeals.
As for all the rest, cry me a frickin' river. If Trump didn't want to run afoul of the insurrection clause, then the Benedict Arnold shouldn't have fomented a violent insurrection in his fascist attempt to destroy American democracy to maintain his personal political power despite losing the election.
I wish these people would provide proof of their arguments.. always the same thing.. make declarations without proof.. why don’t people ask for proof instead of just letting these people spew their propaganda???
