  1. Fun fact: monogamous marriages full of "love and companionship" lead to divorce.

I prefer monogamy, but ENM relationships are the most honest relationships there are. It stresses the idea that human beings are not property and are free to themselves first and foremost.

  2. I have lots of experience being adjacent to and involved in polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous relationships. I have found that at the core of all of them has been a male misogynist imposing this lifestyle on people who otherwise would be monogamous.

The idea sounds good in theory, and is a lie in practice. Children are absolutely warped by this lifestyle.

  3. What if employers started making hiring decisions based upon whether a person was unfaithful? We're already canceling people for other reasons. It would be an acknowledgement that unfaithful people are bad people. If we can cancel you for being racist, can we cancel you for being immoral in other ways? We discriminate against those with criminal backgrounds.

  4. Instead of abandoning the nuclear family for polygamy, we should go back to having whole extended families living under one roof where raising the children is a community responsibility.

  5. Don't forget generational curses and blessings and generational wealth. Study after study shows kids will be far far more poor than those with happily married parents devoted to each other. Children tend to inherit bad destructive habits and influences as the parent (generational curses) and visa versa with blessings.

  6. Isn’t it just a little ironic that you can be this frightened that everything will crumble if a small segment of people decide to approach relationships differently as you sit in front of a book about snowflakes?

  7. To those that say it’s a better alternative to cheating, the difference is that cheating is still stigmatized. “Polyamory” is just an attempt to take the same behaviour and gaslight partners into thinking it’s ok.
